The common space are quite nice! I have to work in the middle of my holiday, so this is the right place to stay

It was noisy and we had only cold water. The transportation service didn’t work a smooth as we thought because the driver was a bit late and the car was very small without headrests for a 4h ride.

The staff was really nice and helped us out with everything. We booked a tour to Ijen through them and also a transportation service. Also the common spaces are quite nice.

Big rooms. The dorm for two people only. A lot of space for everything. Nice common areas. Very cheap. One of the best hostels during my trip around se Asia comparing the price.

Bed was very creaky, felt like it would break when I climbed up the ladder.

Staying at Zzz Hostel was an incredibly pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, I noticed how spotless everything was. The rooms are not just clean but spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and move around. One of the highlights of my stay was the tour to Kawah Ijen. The hostel organized everything perfectly, and the guides were both friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience unforgettable. Another great service they offer is the private car to Bali, which made my journey smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was the thoughtful touch of providing a link to 20 recommended activities in the area upon arrival. It’s my second time stayed here and i’m still happy, cz the staff so so so kind and helpful. The room is very clean and comfortable. They also have a tour to ijen, and ijen bromo tour packages, it was super nice!! I recommend!!

Bathrooms could be cleaner.

Amazing staff! We started our communication a month before our arrival because we booked a 3D2N tour with them. Jefri was super helpfull, speaks great english and is an amazing guy. The rest of the staff is super too. Very chill atmosphere.

We loved everything! This is one of the most beautiful stays we have had in our travels around Southeast Asia😍 We stayed in one of the private rooms. The house is beautiful, the rooms are huge, cute little garden in the back, spacious kitchen and lounge area. The staff was incredible, great English and they are sooo friendly and welcoming 🥰 We booked the Ijen Tour with them, it was perfect, and then our transport to Bali, again, perfectly done and with a fair price. Wish to see more hostels like this one 🤍

Not really to do with the hostel but beware of the shuttle to Malang - it leaves at 8-10pm and driving on Javanese roads all night is a harrowing experience.

Main area was a bit warm, but luckily I had AC. The shared bathroom wasn’t great, so I definitely recommend private room with bathroom if you can!

This place is lovely. Super clean and loved my private room. I recommend the double private - has AC and own bathroom. Loved that and was only a tiny bit more than dorm! The staff are so sweet and helpful. They speak awesome English and come from different places so they are very informative. They offer tours at pretty good prices and private car service. I would recommend reaching out for that. Bed is comfy and it’s quiet minus prayer times. There’s good places to eat around and grab/Gojek available or you can scooter around. I loved Atap Langit for my coffee with oat/coconut milk and good food for good price too. They also have a kitchen if you want to cook too. Rooms are exactly as pictured. The room without AC was a little bit hot, but I only stayed there for the night, when I did the tour and Had to get up early, so it as fine:)

The staff was super friendly! They helped me with everything and have me a Lot of usefull tips! Rooms we're comfortable and clean. I stayed one night in the dorm room without AC and one night in the private rooms.

Lockers are needed in the room. It would be nice to have a sink in the toilet and better quality towel. Breakfast was offered in description but not available. The tour to Ijen is organised by the same company name as the hostel. I don't know if the guides there are assigned randomly, but our guide was lost as soon as we crossed the entrance gate, so he was absolutely useless. If you pay for a guide it would be nice to have one and get some interesting information about the place from him. The trek is one way, so people can easily go by themselves without paying for the guide. Perhaps the taxi to get you there is a good idea in the middle of the night, especially if it is raining. I've rented a jacket there. It wasn't needed. It is a bit cold and windy at the end at the top and at the beginning when waiting for a tour, but good jumper is enough.

Clean and comfortable beds. Good value for money. The staff was nice and helpful. They organise a tour to Ijen volcano.
