How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

At first look I was uuhhh a bit old fashioned but the comfort and service put that to the back of your mind. The lift when using was extremely slow
The bed was sssoooooo comfortable and the food was excellent. The bar and restaurant staff couldn't do enough for us. Barman Aaron was very friendly as was the lady who seemed to be over them

As mentioned above the bar/restaurant area
We stayed in a lodge atvthe price of a bedroom which was super for us. Breakfast was super. Staff were very friendly. We loved the grounds and walks and the leisure centre too. The only slight negarive we thought was the bar/restaurant. Not sure if it was the decor or furniture but it was seemed a bit of warmth and armosphere

From beginning to end the friendly happy staff were so helpful...twins maggie and josie led the way in kind attentive service ....the younger staff members were very attentive and helpful too .I would return....looking forward to seeing new carpets ,curtains and paintings rehung when hotel make over is complete...apts spotless warm and clean ...good value too .

We had emailed in advance to ask for a feather free room as one of the party is asthmatic and feathers trigger attacks. Upon arriving at the room we discovered three large feather cushions on the bed. We removed but the dust was evident and affected the asthma symptoms.
The "twins" Josephine and Maggie were excellent and a credit to the hotel. They made our stay and did everything they could to make us comfortable.

Our 1sr breakfast was just below expectations- but our 2nd day we were greeted and quality was improved. Also the ladies elves - twins we lovely and we felt looked after.
Period property. We stayed at the Garden Suites. Very comfortable with two bedrooms and all mods. Clean and loved the crisp white linen on the beds. As other reviews said water pressure on the showers can be improved but it’s a hotel and we are all doing our part for the environment. Still had ample hot water and everything worked and was clean.

The building is a beautiful old building with lots of character but the decor is very tired looking. Some of the carpet is actually very dirty looking. Our room was very big but the decor was not nice. It's such a shame as it has so much potential to be so much better.
The staff were very helpful, pleasant and friendly. Especially Josie. There was an issue with my booking when checking in.Josie and the manager did resolve the problem,I was very happy with the outcome.

place was quiet and I slept well. Car parking path was well lit and went straight to the door of the hotel whioch was good because it was raining and very dark.

Nothing major, I would have liked to be able to get a bus into Limerick, however they were few and far between and the staff advised unreliable.
The staff were really friendly and the food was great. I had 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts, plenty to choose from. The grounds are spacious and the walk along the river is must do, it's like a fairytale.
