Marguerite is everything an old school lovely Irish hostess is but at the same time has adapted to modern times seamlessly. Her house and manicured gardens were a peaceful respite for me in Skibereen. My room faced the lush back garden which was very pleasant and calming. Her breakfast was to die for and there were so many extra choices including: fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, granola, a traditional Irish breakfast made to order, fresh coffee and a selection of teas and fresh juices. She was extremely welcoming, pleasant and kind. I enjoyed our conversations immensely! There was also a very comfortable and homey sitting room to enjoy at your leisure and when I arrived she offered me a cup of coffee which was accompanied by her home baked delicious fruitcake. It really does not get better than this folks.

Warm and friendly host. Very clean and comfortable room and facilities. Excellent breakfast, efficient and friendly service and a lovely and scenic area to walk around. The main area in town has a Heritage Centre worth visiting. All made for a memorable stay and can highly recommend. We are considering revisiting, we enjoyed visiting so much.

Marguerite was a most welcoming host, greeting me with tea and a scone. The room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was outstanding. The location was great and easy to find in a quiet area with a beautiful garden. Marguerite's range of handcrafts available to purchase was exquisite.

The greeting from Marguerite was amazing, so friendly, tea served in the lounge on arrival was most welcome after a wet and windy journey. Our room was warm and comfortable with plenty of space. Marguerite is a special person, nothing was too much trouble and her recommendation for dinner (originally the Church restaurant which was unavailable but second choice West Cork hotel) was spot on, excellent food and watching the rugby. Marguerite dropped us off and picked us up - another plus as we’d had a long driving day around the stunning Wild Atlantic coast. Thus place is definitely on our list when we return for another tour x

Marguerite was our favorite hostess during our trip. She was thoughtful, gave good suggestions for our time in the area, and the breakfast was delicious. She was very flexible when we changed our arrival time at the last minute to accommodate some schedule changes.

Great B&B, easy to find in a quiet location only a short drive from the centre of Skibbereen. The room was very comfy and had everything I need for my stay. Breakfast was lovely, there is a choice of cereal, fruit as well as a cooked breakfast. Marguerite is a lovely lady and a great host very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Bed was a little hard for my bad back but probably fine for most people.

Marguerite is a total gem. She couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a good stay. Wonderful well-kept gardens, fabulous breakfast (freshly picked blackberries and fresh fruit smoothies included as well as cereal, fruit salad and cooked breakfast options). A range of hand crocheted articles for sale lovingly made by Marguerite herself. Especially delightful are her little crocheted angels. Very reasonable prices. PS. Pay cash for your room if you can - use it or lose it! Marguerite is willing to accept cash.

Marguerite is the loveliest host. So welcoming and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Had some local recommendations. Made the booking for dinner and even offered to drive us into town but it is an easy walk. Very quiet comfortable room and a view of the beautiful garden. Delicious home cooked breakfast to set us up for the day.

Marguerite was a delightful hostess. Excellent communication. Gracious hostess. Amazing breakfast spread of granola nuts fruits and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, French press coffee and homemade bread. Comfortable and clean room. Perfect location to access the nearby lake for kayaking.
