Was a bit unsure who the food in the shared fridge belonged to. There were cereals and milk and good coffee but wasn't sure if the butter and bread belonged to the longer term visitors. Maybe some clearer labelling in fridge might be helpful at breakfast time. Other than that it was fab.

Lovely location, kind host, clean and warm and comfortable. Lovely views and peaceful walk down to the lake and harbour.

House was echoey so every noise echoed through the upstairs, the walls err paper thin and you could hear the full conversations of those in the next room. Floors were squeaky and noisy. Rooms (especially bathroom) could do with TLC in places and it smelt musty.

Rooms were clean, while they could do with some TLC in places

Sound travels between bedrooms so if your neighbour is noisy you will hear it until they stop. Creaky floors. No cooked breakfast - the advertised shared kitchen was an upstairs landing area with some cereal and bread, fridge and microwave. The accommodation should not be advertised as a B&B. Overall it felt like clean, basic student/ hostel accommodation with private rooms that would suit workers who need somewhere to stay overnight. For this it's a great option. For people on holidays that want a taste of Irish hospitality I couldn't recommend it. It's by far the least welcoming place that I have stayed in, The gentleman who met me at the door just stared at me until I said I had a booking then said 'go around to the other door'. Wouldn't win any personality contests. It does the job and I'll probably stay there again when travelling with work as it was cheaper than other options, was clean and I got a decent sleep once the noise dropped around midnight.

Comfy bed. Good shower power. Clean. Cheaper than other options. Microwave and fridge available 24/7.

Poor soundproofing in rooms, amorous couple next door provided lots of entertainment on the first night. Otherwise Ok, but would hate to have a snorer in the next room..

Rural surrounds, big room. Shared kitchen with good breakfast foods to use. Nice pub nearby (Rosies).

Disappointed that although it was a B&B the breakfast was actually some shared cereal packets and breads left out in a common room. We weren’t sure if we were eating what we were supposed to or someone else’s food.

Location was good, and rural views lovely.

Not much! You need a car to access, but thats typical for the area. Bathroom fan is very loud. Nothing else to note!

Very handy B&B, with spotlessly clean rooms and comfortable beds. Very easy access, and good to be able to let yourself in and out, to go and come as you please. Lovely views, and bathrooms are small but well equipped. Breakfast area is well stocked with breads, butters, jams etc, with cereal options, toaster, microwave and egg cooking device. Nice that you can access this whenever, and not constrained by typical breakfast times. If youre looking for breakfast or lunch, Rostellan Farm and Ballymaloe House close by and are both excellent, organic food options. Ballybrannigan Beach is a short drive and very nice!

No breakfast included despite advertised as B&B. Cearal, microwave and kettle left in communial area. Bread left for toast but was stale and out of date. One country loaf of bread was 2 months out of date and still on table. Only 2 spoons available for cereal so had to wash and share/reuse someone elses spoon. Cereal bowls badly stained. This is an OK stay for work purposes only but not for a holiday break. Most people staying just skipped cereal in the morning and got food in local store. A stay here is more akin to a hostel with private room, rather than a B&B.

    Clean rooms.

The only major grip is the lack of Breakfast. It is advertised as a B&B but in reality it's missing the breakfast. You do get tea / coffee and cereal but as a B&B I would expect a proper breakfast.

Staff very friendly and the location is situated in the cork country side. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Slight issue with the heat in the room but that was fixed very quickly. Compared with the cost of staying in other accommodations in cork its competitively priced. Only one gripe with is outlined below

We had to call to B&B one week before our stay to ask about cancelling 1 night in 1 of our rooms and adding 1 more person on the first night, the lady was not friendly and couldn't help us much. Although on arrival everything was sorted easily.

Clean and great space in the rooms, beautiful handy location, simple breakfast available even it was not described on the booking

The room was pretty basic. Comfortable and clean but certainly basic. The shower was poor and shower gels / shampoo provided were poor also. Breakfast wasn't exactly 'provided' but was help yourself to cereals, etc.

The property was clean and check in was easy / convenient.

It is far out of town and if you don't have a vehicle you are paying a taxi service around $20.00 each trip to shop for groceries, pick up power adapters and catch trains. Other than that there is nothing to do. The room was cold day and night and there was no way to turn on the heat. The Bed and Breakfast name is a misnomer. There were two containers of dry cereal and a refrigerator with milk. Other than that, you bought your own supplies. So, as pleased as I was with the woman who owns the place, I have no intentions of going there again.

The proprietor was pleasant and helpful. The view of the Irish countryside was pleasant. The bed was comfortable.

we didn’t realise that there wasn’t a cooked breakfast so were disappointed , the pre covid reviews were misleading as they raved about the cooked breakfasts! The ‘kitchen’ area and cereal, bread and fruit provided was adequate. It was difficult to use the kitchen area and move about the property at night without making noise and we heard other guests at various times, also snoring and conversations from other rooms were easily heard.

lovely views, quiet location, comfy bed

No heating 🥶 it was very cold and radiators off, wooden floors very noisy as upstairs. Apart from that it was excellent value for money and host was very friendly when I met them the first night. Never seen them again during my stay.

Beautiful location and everything straight forward. Room clean and comfortable.
