Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaRooms are small and cramped. Had to keep the windows covered all the time as the rooms across the courtyard had direct and unobstructed view of our room. Towels are really thin and low quality. Highly overpriced.
Efficient and friendly staff. Very good breakfast buffet. Convenient location.

United KingdomSome bedside reading lights would have been a bonus, but the bright central lights were adequate.
Great breakfast, very friendly staff. The nearby tram makes local travel very simple and it's great to be able to walk to the Old City so easily. Good quality beds and cleaning staff.

United KingdomPerfect location to visit the holy sites in particular the Al Aqsa Mosque. Rooms are a little cramped for 3 so if you're travelling more than 2, better to book 2 rooms as their triple rooms are not adequate. Breakfast (sahoor) was great with lots of options for hot and cold foods.

South AfricaRooms are tiny not like pics. Can't even open bags easily unless they on the bed. The extra linen in cupboard was dirty. Bathrooms are even more tight literally no space to use the toilet and wash without opening shower doors to make space. No complimentary water, slippers or even facial tissues at approx $250 Bathroom window was broken. Drains were blocked flooded bathroom when they came to unblock left all wet towels on floor without replacing. Definitely 3 star at best. Not value for money but think they to busy to worry about that.
Location is good Breakfast staff are wonderful. Roof top is nice

South AfricaMy first negative when we just got to the hotel was 2 flights of stairs to the reception with no lift. My husband had an injured hand and I have an injured back and we had to carry all our luggage up alone. The room was neat but the carpet between my bed and the bedside table was dirty there were date pits and dirt which wasn’t cleaned for the whole duration I was there. I had a towel which had someone’s hair on it. We had no toothbrush given to us in the rooms. No water was given in the rooms. Breakfast had juice full full of ice so much ice that the orange juice tasted like water. I asked for a juice with no ice as I was fluish they said they couldn’t help me. For me this was definitely not a 5* hotel and although the location was good and I might stay there again when I return because of the location I feel a lot can be done to improve certain things because it’s not a cheap hotel.
The property is close to the old city which was very convenient.

RomaniaSmall mini bar, the stairs to be climbed with heavy luggage
Room had good size. We had 4 beds that were very comfortable. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom was a bonus. The linen and the towels were white and clean. The towels were changed everyday. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices - salads, cheese, eggs, juices, good coffee, tea, fruits. Everything that you could eat in the morning was there. The food was fresh and well presented. The hotel and reception are at the first floor. No elevator until there. You need to climb with your luggage up. The windows were keeping the noise out of the room. The mini bar was very small. The closet was very spacious. All the people working in the hotel were very nice and ready to help you any way you needed. The bus terminal is around the corner. For Mount of Olives - bus no 255/275 can be taken from there. You need to purchase an electronic wallet to put on it at least 30 NIS. The card cost 5 NIS and can be purchased from a store near by. You can use it on any means of public transport. We took the train from Ben Gourion until to Yitzhak Navon and it was perfect- 20 minutes ride. If you do not heavy luggage you can take tram 1. From Damascus gate to the hotel there are about 450 m. But now the tram lines are being built in the area and the side walks are a little bit dusty.

United StatesElevator isn’t at entrance and makes it difficult for wheelchair ridden . This hotel needs better access for the handicapped. We had to ring door to enter so that we can use elevator . We also got stuck inside the elevator. Their elevator needs repair and upgrade. Main entrance needs renovation . Hotel looks poorly at the entrance but is very classy at the entrance .

PolandDon’t go there if: 1. You would like to have a quiet night. Both outside and inside is very noisy, with people playing on the corridor; 2. If you rent a car – getting there is very difficult and parking there not easy; 3. If you expect advice – it took me two months and several tries to have them answer my question (the answer was that they will do nothing); 4. If you would like to have dinner – restaurant is closed and there is no other option available in walking distance. And neighborhood is not friendly or safe. For this price you can have many better options in the city, so my sincere advice – avoid this place
