If you're on one of the higher floors you can hear the rooftop terrace going until 2, but I suspect it's much better lower in the building.

The lift wasn't working when we got to the hotel because it was under repair. People with mobility issues such as my mother can find it challenging to use the steps without a lift. But I appreciate that this is something the hotel could not have done anything about if the lift was under repair. There was many times of power outages, which meant that the phones for room service did not work. We couldn't get any food to eat for 2-3 hours after our arrival after a 4 hour road journey from the airport. That was a little frustrating. The service at the restaurant was quite slow, we were waiting nearly an hour for our food on one of the days when we ordered lunch in our rooms. They seemed to be operating on a skeleton staff because we visited during the non tourist season in mid July. The bedding in the rooms had a couple of small stains on the pillow covers.

The hotel staff is very helpful and welcoming. The hotel has a lovely view of Gangtok city. The ropeway and namgyal monastry are 10 to 15 mins walk away. You can easily get a local taxi to MG marg from the petrol station behind the hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy.

The hotel definitely is need of some renovation. The bathroom was quite old, dingy and wet. There were a lot of flies in there. The house keeping didnt seem to clean the bathrooms well. I would recommend getting flip flops to even access the bathrooms there. On the second day of our stay there, they dumped an old bed right in front of our door. It was wet and quite smelly. When we complained to the front desk and told them about it, they promised to send someone up to clear up the issue. Instead the guy who they sent up sprayed perfume over the leaking bed and left it there in front of our room door! Infact, house keeping is routinely in the habit of dumping wet towels and bed sheets in front of guest rooms for hours on end. There was a little issue with one of the other guests complaining about the food at the hotel. When he left, the staff began to badmouth him while we were still in there eating dinner. Worse, the staff tried to get us to comment on the sensitive issue right after. I found this unprofessional. The noises from the lift and the constant shouting and banging of doors late into the evenings kept us up even though we had packed schedules.

The hotel is situated in a prime spot, next to a gurudwar and a buddhist temple. The hotel boasts quite spacious rooms with a lot of storage space. The non vegetarian food was decent.

Ronimit and the rest of the staff (especially at the top floor restaurant) were so good to us and catered to all our needs. We took the suite which is extremely spacious, ultra clean and has a spectacular view Gangtok! The overlook at the terrace gives an even more breathtaking view of the entire city from a very unique perspective. This hotel is very close to the ropeway / taxi stand and you can even visit the local Monastery and Gurudwara on the way. The overall service here at this hotel is nothing short of Amazing and we cherished every single part of our stay here. Would definitely visit again!

As soon as you enter they will ask you for payment in advance for next day and when you will make the payment than only they will show u room .. Even next day we requested them to change bedsheets and their staff throw the changed bedsheets outside the room. When we check out and sitting in the car for moving from hotel than one driver parked the car in front of our car in summit alpine parking and strange no hotel staff stopped him and When i asked that driver to move car from their than that driver started fighting and strange with in the hotel premises no hotel staff was their and no one asking for anything all hotel staff watching fight from inside.
