How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is an amazing place to stay!! It’s a family business and you feel right at home, you feel more at home than in a hotel. It’s safe, well located, clean and plenty of space, all staff are immensely friendly and helpful. The rooftop has great views too- there’s some renovations happening nonetheless great! They have their own driver car and tuktuk-so ask them if you want to get somewhere. We had dinner - at a great price we got super tasty homemade food. Take some cash with you to pay for drinks/meals :)

I absolutely love staying at Aman Homestay, it was my third time in Agra and third time staying there! The place is super nice and cosy, best value for money. The owners running it are available to help with any query, the locational is great to visit Taj Mahal and Red Fort, and it's just off the main street so it's quiet (bonus if you are new to India and need a break from the traffic noise :) ). I also always end up meeting the nicest people here, you can have a home-cooked dinner and sit around the main room table and chat with fellow travelers. Strongly recommend!

The shower room gets soaking so don’t leave your clothes on the floor when you jump in the shower. Otherwise no complaints at all.
Very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Central location, clean and comfortable.

What a fabulous homestay run by a family! This place exceeded all expectations, clean, peaceful, large rooms, rooftop seating with views of the Taj Mahal and agra, everything was great! The home cooked food was delicious!! The family were so kind, lovely and full of information. They were great with our 9month old baby too. Nothing was too much to ask. If we could have we would have stayed for longer.

We loved the location of Aman’s Homestay, close to everything we wanted to see and some nice places to eat! Everyone was incredibly welcoming and we really liked the breakfasts. They were also very helpful with providing great guides for the Taj Mahal and recommendations about how to best enjoy Agra.

The room we was put in was very cold (very normal for India winters I believe) but we were provided with an electric heater on request
Had a delightful stay with Aman and his family - wish we stayed longer than a night! Super helpful, providing a heater straight away when asked, helped us plan our Agra trips, even organised us an early breakfast before we left for our next destination. Rooms are lovely and clean after a not so enjoyable cleanliness experience in Delhi. Easy/safe 20 mins walk to the Taj. Definitely check out the rooftop where you can see the Taj in the distance also! Definitely opt in for the evening family dinner cooked by his mother - delicious!

From the room you can hear everything in the common room but people are pretty respectful with the times. Besides the Taj, the hotel is a bit far from the city center but there are tuktuks waiting outside and they take 15 min to the main attractions.
The hotel is within walking distance to the Taj Mahal. Rooms and bathroom are spatious and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not have the chance to try the food but looked amazing.

just a couple of small points. I thought breakfast could be better value. I also think she could provide more than one small cup of tea. Similarly, it would have been nice to have been offered coffee after the evening meal. At one point she had a desert option on the table, but did not offer any clean plates or cutlery.
Location, this hotel was very close to the Taj Mahal Mrs Aman’s home cooking. She does benefit from having little, or any, competition, so commands a premium price, however there was a wide choice of delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals. Eating with other guests from around the world was enjoyable. The young man on reception was very helpful.

The home stay exceeded all expectations it was very clean had great Wi-Fi and the staff were excellent. It was only a few minutes walk to the Taj Mahal and they offered all the knowledge nd assistance that we wishes for The food was great and we all ate together at night

There was nothing not to like
Lovely hosts who arranged pick up from Delhi airport to the hotel and then arranged tour around the Taj Mahal. We had evening meal here which was lovely. The room was spacious and clean.

Can't think of anything. It was a great place to stay!
We stayed in January 2024 (father and daughter). This was a great place to stay in Agra! Less than 10 minute walk to the Taj Mahal ticket office. Great home cooked meals. Very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Nice rooftop for views of the city. Would definitely stay again.
