Compared with most of the small mountain guest houses in Ladakh it gives you the feeling of comfort. The hotel has big, clean rooms with comfortable beds, nice new furniture and modern style bathroom with hot water shower. My room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the city and the mountains. I appreciated also the heater at night. One of the best thing, which is important for me, was the communication with the manager before my arrival. He replied very quickly to all my answers and helped me to arrange all the things needed for my trip.

Not much really, this is a hotel that's comfortable and has good food and is clean. It would be better if the shower had worked properly but it worked enough to have a shower, I didn't go without.

Location is perfect, on the same road as about 6 or 7 motorbike hire shops, 2 mins walk from the main bazar market and with several restaurants within a minute walk. Hotel has I think recently been renovated, the rooms are large (I had room 303) and the beds are reasonably comfortable but not many Leh hotels use mattress protectors so you only get a sheet between you and the mattress, bit it's comfortable enough and better than other hotels. The bedding was clean and duvet warm enough. The bathroom is large with a walk in shower but unfortunately the button to activate the ceiling shower head didn't stay pushed in so you can either keep your finger on it or use the tap which always had water - I think it needed adjusting. Plenty of hot water. The food was great, very nice, available in the large dining room or in your own room, it was delivered quickly and was great quality, garlic naan with real fresh garlic zing ! Very good. Breakfast was a good selection in the dining room, Indian options plus toast, omelette, porridge etc with tea and coffee, very nice. The staff were really helpful, lots of ideas of where to visit, how long a road trip will take to Kharding La for example, plus Atul was exceptionally helpful with renting a bike and then returning it for me when the shop was closed on my last day, he also offered to refresh the room whilst I was at Pangong Two. Plenty of parking for bikes, motorbikes and cars, easy access to taxi service etc and can book trips for you. If you want to use a travel agent for arranging restricted area permits and trips you should consider Ancient Tracks just opposite the entrance to the main bazar market. They get permits for the bike hire companies and other trip organisers and hotels and offer a very good, fast service.

There were some renovations going on, and for a couple of days there was no working lift.

The manager is extremely helpful and patient. He made us feel immediately welcome. The same thing can be said for his staff. The hotel is centrally located in Leh. The balcony was nice and the breakfast good.

Location is good, so close to main market. Room is spacious and clean with a nice mountain view. Mohit, the hotel manager was very helpful..went the extra miles to get my permits to Nubra valley. Thanks to all the wonderful staff too!

Preventive maintenance checks on bathroom fittings and plumbing would be helpful. More non-veg options at breakfast would be nice, but not necessary.

We had a great time at Amanthi hotel, everything was just perfect. Staff was incredible, always attentive and helpful with anything we needed. They made us feel at home for the entire stay. The manager Mohit was superb in assisting us with every request and need. He also organised our 4 days trip to Nubra valley and Pangong lake. Food was good, rich breakfast. We 100% recommend Amanthi hotel for your visit to Leh. We will definetely come back! Thanks for everything.

It is more than appreciation of this hotel I stayed at Leh during my family's holiday trip recently. The excellent service did not happen when I arrived. It started right after the hotel room booking over the exchanged emails. Any concern on any related transportation inside Leh and travel permission inside the Ladakh region have been worked out before arrival with the hotel staff's advice and pre-arrangements. Staff are all very friendly and helpful in order to make our holiday time unforgettable. Hotel design is very modern, simple and nice. Moreover, it is in a great location right next to the centres. Breakfast is very enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. I would like to thank you Mr. Mohit and another front manager for his excellent service and assistances during my family's stay there. Strongly recommend this hotel to any visitors.

Near the market is a big advantage, BUT the real reason you want to stay here is for Mohit, the Manager at the Ananda Hotel. The only person I interacted with during our vacation who gets the job done. Nothing is impossible or even challenging for Mohit. My first night in Leh was at another property, and Vodafone doesn't work at all in Leh. Mohit came by to check if we got in ok (he arranged the airport pickup, even though we were not staying at Ananda initially). As he realized I didn't have a working cell connection, he offered to get one for me the next day itself as we were starting our road trip around Leh. From the Taxi, Oxygen cylinder, planning out the route over a week to even getting our paragliding slots on the last day to restaurant and shopping recommendations, Mohit managed it all, and that too with a smile. On the day of our paragliding, we left quite early for Sakti Village and missed the time slot for the buffet breakfast since we'd be back at the hotel much later. Mohit even offered to serve us breakfast when we got back which was another really touching gesture. The Ananda Hotel itself is a new property, the food was the best (taste, presentation, cleanliness, serving, etc) we had during our entire trip here (Leh-Nubra-Pangong-Leh). The rooms are really good and a welcome site after the semi-spartan accommodations at Nubra & Pangong. The view of the mountains from the room balcony was the best place to enjoy our morning tea. The hotel restaurant also has a small garden with umbrellas where you can have your breakfast (We did do that too)

After a long ride from manali I wanted a comfortable stay and Ananda Ladakh gave me just that. It was short staffed as it was off season but the staff that was present made sure I got everything I needed. Must mention a staffer MOHIT who was courteous and resourceful. It's the service of such kind employees that makes your stay memorable.
