The staff and the hotel manager was really helpful and accommodating. Their own cafe and restaurant is just a minute down towards the beach which is a perfect place for all your food and coffee needs.

Only one problem. I really think they should have access to drinking water in the foyer. We purchased water of course but one night we were really caught out as I was unwell, staff were asleep of course and we really needed fresh water urgently . Most home stays has access to drinking water in Kerala .

Surroundings, Sometimes I sense a bad smell. That might be something, not sure what it is. Water was logging in the washroom, the facility guy said they will be repairing it soon.

Overall it was good. I liked the sound of waves in the early morning, it was pleasant to hear them. The location was very good.

We loved how big the room was. It was tastefully decorated. The balcony was very private. It’s set back off the strip so was pretty quiet. It’s the perfect place to stay in Kovalam.

Nothing special, we were lucky that it was a shoulder season and we were the only guests there.

It is a nice place with beautiful garden. The rooms are clean and very well-thought with chairs inside & on the balcony and with a lot of space to put the luggage. The balcony had a place to hang the clothes and the fan, which made it very nice to sit outside. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom was clean with hot shower pressure. The staff was also quite friendly but could not speak English at all (only the manager could). They allowed us to use the room and to take a shower at the evening before our departure (we had a night flight), which was so kind and nice.

Internet was slow.

I felt at home at Anitha's and well taken care of. The staff were kind and attentive and Yousef and Anitha were gracious hosts. I appreciated having a private balcony and listening to the birds sing. Complimentary breakfast was good and restaurant staff friendly. I finally found a home away from home in Kovalam.

The welcome is warm and caring. Staff were attentive to needs. Bedroom, bathroom and balcony spacious although the plumbing is starting to show its age and I would have appreciated running warm water. Breakfast on the garden terrace was excellent. I can recommend a stay at Anita's in Kovalam.

WLAN was without extra costs, but it was slow. For me, a mollycoddle, the water in the shower could have been a little, little warmer ... ;-)

I felt extremely comfortable in my room which was equipped with a refrigerant marble floor and a gorgeous balcony. Had a "jungle" in front of me with exciting sounds of birds and other animals and the noise of the sea. AC was not necessary, the fan was adequate to me. Just 1 minute walk to the beach! Anitha and Yussuf who manage this property are very friendly and helpful people, they could answer any questions I had. If I ever will return to this picturesque Kovalam Beach (Lighthouse Beach), I will ask first for a room at Anitha's Garden Stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Anitha’s. My room was just perfect. The balcony has a nice, eclectic view and I loved sitting there relaxing, watching the hawks build a nest as I listened to the sea. Yusef was a very warm, calming presence and I had the good fortune to meet and talk with Anitha’s herself for a while. Honestly everyone at Anitha’s is wonderful and so kind. I felt so taken care of honored to receive their hospitality.

Location is ~100 meters from the beach. Room, bed, bathroom, balcony everything was neat and clean. Host is good and supportive.

Beautiful hotel, feels like you are in the jungle because of the garden but close to the beach and right next to all the restaurants and bars. Staff was extremely friendly.

It was not possible to pay by credit card when I came but it might be a short term issue related to the lack of tourists just after COVID ?

The place is very well located in a nice garden, 2 min from the sea but not too close from the beach and restaurants so that it is quiet. The rooms are large and very clean with relaxing balcony. Yusuf was very helpfull when i needed informations and things to be done (ie printing...). The Wifi was good from the hotel but harder to use at the bar-café place.

The rooms are well maintained, but are beginning to show their age. This is nothing to worry about. Everything worked as it should.

I was welcomed by Yusuf. He was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and painted with a warm and welcoming tone, the windows are large and the balcony relaxing. The room was very clean and the hotel is located just two minutes from the beach.

Location was disappointing for my elderly. Loghting in the room was very dim. Had to walk through an alley which was poorly lit n breakfast was a distance. But yousoff n his assistant was very kind helpful n multi tasking to please the guest.

The bathrooms were in poor condition. The shower drain on the opposite side of the room so excess water needed to be swept clear. No cold water which in the very hot weather was difficult. The room wasn’t cleaned or towels replaced during our four night stay. The breakfasts were disappointing. Almost all of the items on the menu were not available on a daily basis and no effort was made to resupply which could easily have been arranged.

The setting is very pretty and the hotel manager and cleaners friendly
