On an expensive side. Villa could be bigger and with better toiletries. Breakfast spread is average and pretty much only potato based food items like Paratha, Mashed Potato, Aloo Wada, Puri Bhaji etc.

Excellent resort in middle of the city but yet away from noise and pollution. Wonderful walking areas amidst the greens.

Humidity in the fabric tents.. but the manager got the room dehumidified and vacuumed again for the second night .

Superb Location. Amazing Property. Good Food. Professional team. It's among the best locations in Udaipur and great value for money. There is a lord Shiva temple next to it which is 2000+ years old, a must visit hidden gem for everyone

Staff is relatively new. Can work on training the staff for a better customer experience. The food is good but not great and they charge exorbitant prices.

Property is beautiful and definitely one of the best places to stay in Udaipur. They offer good facilities, rooms are bigger in size and the stay was comfortable

Beautiful park with flowers and trees and villas spread around a pond. We liked the room, with its king size bed, and they kindly added a extra single bed for our son. The king size bed is so wide that we could sleep 3 in there, so the room was large enough for us two and our two children. Nice swimming pool and nice restaurant.

The in-room coffee options do not have green tea bags. Requested in-room service staff to arrange but he denied saying they can't. We had to purchase it from outside. Sometimes, they dont keep buffet for hot breakfast, ala-carte with limited options.

I would thinks its a more pricey against the quality they are trying to provide. Their staff is co-operative . The property is well maintained. They should provide packages including food so that they can compete better with the other resorts ( within their price range) . They have limited amenities.

The property is very well located. Its minutes away from the city centre and yet it doesn’t let you know that. extremely peaceful during the day and night quite relaxing if you’re planing a weekend getaway.

Food in restaurant was good. (Not exceptional but good). Swimming pool had only one water ball that too broken. We asked them to get new one which wasn't met in timely manner. They need to have atleast some backup options for such small items which matter the most specially when families are coming with kids.

Amazing Property at a location which you wouldn't believe it's there. It's right next to lake Pichola and yet gives a feeling of resort amidst the nature. We had executive suite which was just amazing! Nikhil ji from reception and their entire team was super friendly. Big Room sizes. Admist the Nature Feeling. Amazing Shiva temple (almost 500 years old) next to this property

Now coming to the disadvantages. The totally untrained staff lacks the professionalism that you expect in a place like Aranya Vilas. What was interesting is they advertise a good number of rooms as pond facing while effectively there are only two such villas. We had paid the price for pond-facing rooms but our villas faced other villas rather than the pond. It was a battle and there were no effective answers. The breakfast is alright, not extraordinary and the surprising bit was that we were asked to pay when we desired to pack a sandwich with us before heading out unlike most hotels and resorts where the staff courteously pack you a little “take-away”. The rooms seemed poorly maintained, the air conditioning was not working and we had to call the service a several number of times; to begin with the rooms smelt mouldy and we requested a change of sheets for they were unclean (with stain marks and hair). The bench in the room was full of foot marks. It seemed like the owners built the place and never bothered to upkeep it. A true potential wasted. Will I ever come back to stay here, I guess not!

I have mixed opinions about Aranya Vilas. The advantages, it is spread over a sprawling area, surrounded by several trees and boasts of a little pond inside and at the same time it is very close to the old city centre. The rooms are essentially independent villas, massive but not neat attached with a balcony to sit and soak oneself in the greenery. One can walk around the area or sit by the pond and being very close to the city centre but shielded from the hustle and bustle make it advantageous.

It was raining and they couldn’t arrange an auto for us for the dinner. We took one of their umbrella’s. The restaurant we went to had few umbrellas kept in the rack and maybe someone might have taken it by mistake. so we couldn’t blame the restaurant nor anyone. They charged us with 1200 for the umbrella which I think was a turn off. I would be fine if the fine would be around 500-600 as 1200 was a rip off.
