The owner has expressed that he will be making improvements as time goes on, and things like a more comfortable bedding arrangement, either an actual mattress or thicker underlying pads will help provide a more sound sleep and prevent back stiffness in the morning. Hot water showers would always be advantageous, but I understand at this price point few, if any, properties would provide that. Again, remember this is a backpacker standard accommodation, so have realistic expectations.

I consider this an outstanding property, but it comes with some important caveats that a traveler must understand. This reminds me of an old-school Asian backpacker guesthouse, which is exactly what I was looking for. What this means is that the amenities are minimal but that is to be expected especially for the price and it’s true for any backpacker-oriented guesthouse. You will have a wooden bedstand without a boxspring, with a thick pad instead of a mattress, and a few normal thickness blankets. There are no windows (which actually increases the safety of the room), and the room is simple but clean. There is a ceiling fan. There are basic bathroom facilities without hot water, and both and Indian and western style toilet with spray nozzles. The property is extremely close to the railway station, which is a large benefit for someone who likes to keep on the move. The owner will walk over with you and make sure you get the right tickets if you have any concerns. At this point if you’re wondering why I would rate this as a 10 it’s completely because of the host. I don’t believe I’ve ever met someone who is so dedicated to hospitality, and providing the best possible information and service to traveler. Even after leaving, he will stay in contact with you to give you advice and to make sure you stay safe and have a productive and enjoyable travel throughout India. He has taken me around on his scooter to try to arrange ongoing transportation. He will make sure you have a good experience and recommend other fun activities in Siliguri. He is outgoing with a jovial and effervescent attitude. So, as long as one understands that this is a backpacker standard accommodation, and not a boutique hotel, you will get what you expect at an unusually low price, with hospitality that is unparalleled without exaggeration on my part.

At night it was a little noisy outside but as long as you are aware of that the price performance is unbeatable. We would be love to visit again.

The host was great. He was super nice, accommodating and helpful, giving us many tips for the city and our travel. It was lovely to stay here.

This property is for people who likes to travel, and not sitting in the room for a long time. Good quite location near by Siliguru junction. It is possibility for foreign tourists to live in a local street without tourist places and to know how it is. The administration is very nice and really has good hospitable service. I strongly reccomend this property for trackers, backpackers and people who are searching good room for less money.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful guest house. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from the owner Rahul Da, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. What really stood out to me was Rahul Da's hospitality. He was incredibly kind, humble, and seemed to genuinely care about his guests' well-being. In addition to the amazing hospitality, I have to mention the delicious homemade food that was served at this guest house. From the fresh food and locally-sourced milk at breakfast to the mouth-watering home-cooked fish rice at dinner. If you're looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay, with normal facilities, I would definitely recommend this place! Thanks

Very crisp and apt details provided by the host Rahul Dutta as soon as the booking was done. Responds quickly and gives detailed information about how to commute to the place, food to eat around. He even provided home cooked food by his mom, was delicious. He also recommended places to visit nearby and was very good with his hospitality in serving his customers. Location: very near to the Siliguri junction and Train station to get cabs and buses to Darjeeling and other places. Stay: clean bedsheets, pillows and a fan with a table and a chair with clean toilets(Indian, western) as well. Would definitely recommend this stay. Very good 👍

Rahul was an amazing host!!!!! He made everything sooo easy and he helped us in every possible way!!! He came pick us up with his bike when we were coming from the train station, he informed us about where we could go take the sikkim permit, and the next morning he came with us to the bus station to make sure we could find place in one of the buses. We are 2 girls travelling together and many times we don’t feel really safe but Rahul made sure that we were feeling comfortable in every single way! Thanksss rahul it was an absolute pleasure!!!! The room and the toilet are basic but good for the very affordable price of the room! If you are on a budget I would definitely recommend this place!!!!

Treat and greet is everything for a guest, and you will get it here without a doubt. So, as a solo traveller, there isn't anything I don't like. You will definitely enjoy ur stay.

Rahul took care of everything, and he was extremely helpful from the moment I made the reservation. So genuine and helpful in guiding me to try out new restaurants and even assisting me in catching a bus to Gangtok. Such a nice and helpful person.
