Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

TanzaniaThe on-ground staff at the Reception and the Manager were not at all accommodating when it came to my transport from the hotel to the Airport which is less than 500 meters. When I booked my room via Booking.com, it was mentioned that the hotel provides free transport to the airport. But on my check out last minute, I was told they didn't offer and would charge me Rupees 1,500 if they provided it. This was like literally ripping off the foreigners. I refused to pay and my manager from my company in my home country had to get me an Uber online that cost me Rupees 250 only. Considering the hotel is 5 stars, it was least expected to be treated like this just while checking out.
Rooms were very nice and the Breakfast was moderate.

Poland1. No universal (European) sockets available in the room. 2. The flushing of the toilet is very slow/weak. 3. There are no accessories for cleaning toilet available. (I understand there are people to clean rooms, but certain things left dirty make me uncomfortable). 4. The toilet seat hinges were loose. 5. Two days of my stay the dinner's buffet was Mexican! (I do not come to India to eat Mexican food!) Good the ala carte service was available with Indian meals. 6. Sometimes coffee was good and sometimes was terrible. I do not know why. (Breakfasts - always bad). 7. None of the taxi drives knew where the hotel is. It is probably because it is quite new hotel. 8. There is absolutely nothing close to the hotel. You need a taxi to get to any shop. It is called "close to the airport", but even so - taxi needed. It is not a walking distance to the terminal in any way.
Staff extremely friendly. Hotel room is big, the bathroom is comfortable. There is water to drink available in the room as well as equipment to clean the shoes, etc. The hotel has nine floors, but there was no long waiting for elevators. The food in the restaurant was very good (but they do not warn guests that their "mild spicy level" is our "top high hot!"). Also cafe at the floor level with cakes is very nice. There is a swimming pool, gym, etc. - but I did not have time to use.

Saudi ArabiaRestaurant staff is worst I have ever seen in any 5 star hotel.
Hotel ambience is superb, rooms are very good. Bed is comfortable. Reception staff and room service staff are too good. Everything was fantastic except staff at Restaurant. So much difference between other staff and restaurant staff. Mannerisms and arrogant staff, looks they are freshers and untrained. Breakfast is OK, not much variety and they are not flexible for timing. Visited so many 5 star hotels and never found single one who is not flexible, at Aurika their staff is in so hurry that they will start removing the dishes 15 mins early and not accommodating any request. Appreciated sweet gesture on my complain by hotel management, Ms. Jaswin sent complimentary chocolates and snacks in room and herself attended us. Thanks for that. But it's my humble request to Hotel .anagement to check their restaurant staff, they can destroy the image of superb hotel.

IndiaThe price was Too HIGH. If we compare the price with the service, it was not worth. I think Lemon Tree still needs to understand the definition of Luxury! Staff was not professional, very young staff so might be trainees. Food Quality was Ok. they missed the real taste and Flavour. Only one restaurant was there and the tables were arranged so close that there was no privacy. When you get up , you are rubbed on the next table to come out. Staff doesn't understand small customisation in food. breakfast is always the same and lacks the real taste. Room service Pathetic. They have a Cafe but the delay in service is too long. While cleaning the room they will not even add water bottles and tea/Coffee sachets.
The room and the Infrastructure , building etc.. were good.

United Arab EmiratesThe room is much smaller than standard 5 star hotels in vicinity. It is overpriced hotel and actually should be mid scale 4 star and not 5 star property. It has teething problems with Wifi, TV channels. The staff was supportive to resolve it but these should be pre-checked. The lift is very slow and wait is very long. Minibar was empty.
The location is good with good connectivity to both airport. The decor is modern and Breakfast spread is quite good.

GermanyI have extended my stay there for another night: I had to do a complete checkout and checkin again. The staff told me that is required. While I had my checkout, the colleagues were randomly changing and I had to explain again and again. It would be nice, if the process is smoother and a guest is welcomed for a second stay with handling it in a more professional way. Anyway, I could stay at same room. I had included breakfast and was asking to get a variety on room. The manager told me , that’s possible and he will connect me with room service. So I placed my order (2 masala dosa) after confirming, that no additional cost will be expected. I got a call from manager, that I cannot just order anything (dosa??!!) and this won’t be included. He will send an omelette… That wasn’t really understandable - I have ordered dosa… nothing expensive and nothing hard to get. Just dosa.

GermanyInitially I got a room with a door to extend the room. That’s for me a nogo in 5-star-hotels. Staff changed the room immediately without discussing. Room was more in size of a 4-star-hotel, don’t expect too much space. For me it was enough and I had to work for days there. The google chromecast for the tv is a nice gimmick, but the connection with personal devices cuts always after max 30 min. Reconnecting is not guaranteed… Mosquitoes are everywhere!! In room I have killed every day mosquitoes and they have them everywhere, eg lobby, tea lounge …
Clean, new, nice toiletries. Nice fitness center and pool.

United KingdomThere were a few examples of things not working well such as the toilet flush, the coffee machine in the room, no access to the balcony (housekeeping did unlock the door but we weren't allowed a key). However, when we raised any issues they were quickly attended to, even if they couldn't be completely fixed.
The hotel looked great, it was clearly very new and clean. The pool area was really lovely. Staff were very helpful and responsive. It felt like a luxury stay which was what we were looking for before our flight. We were happy with the price we paid with a bit of a discount.
