How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Payment method - on arrival, we were informed that there was no option to pay via card. We're international travellers so we don't have PhonePe etc. and withdrawing wads of cash wasn't ideal. They couldn't accept an international wire transfer either so this left us in a bit of a scrape.
Dhruv was an attentive host and was there on hand to help with any issues. We stayed at Avanti twice while we visited New Delhi and we'll definitely be back. The location is excellent and the flat is furnished to a good standard. We felt safe, and looked after there.

Remotes were not working TV was having some issues
Nice place I stayed for two days wanted an extension but was overbooked . Best thing is the location of rhe property which is very well located plus parking is just outside the door and also my dog was accomodated.

It's located on quite a noisy street and there were construction works going on so it was pretty loud during the day. Also we couldn't keep the curtains open in our ground floor gsrdenview room because there were staff hanging out in front of our window. Worst thing for us though was that the room was advertised as a private appartament on booking (also in terms of size), but in fact it was only a room and the rest were common areas (not very clean either), so we felt a bit cheated... definitely overpriced!!!
Good, spacious room and friendly staff.

The shower was not working properly, WiFi was dissapering in different parts of the apprtment.

Breakfast! Payment shown on booking.com - international payment cards - but these were not accepted. We had to make alternative arrangements with the owners involving a U.K. Bank.
The breakfast (English style) was poor.

Wifi was down during my whole stay. Even after multiple complaints it was not fixed.

I booked the apartment with Balcony but got the apartment with Garden View which is smaller room and shared areas.
The place is super clean and well organized. Stuff is super friendly. Good comfortable bed.

Location is quite prime, did not take much time to track the place. The hosts were quite welcoming. Breakfast was always served on time. Full marks for cleanliness. Markets were also quite nearby. They also maintain a small beautiful space for their plants. It was a treat to our eyes.

the photos should show that there are stairs to get to your room and there is no lift. it can be an issue for older folks. although the staff was helpful, the management itself not so much. we booked for 5 people but were only given bedding for 4.
the property is nice and located in a decent location.

It's more like a service apartment, with a handful of housekeeping staff the service might not be prompt always, but they try their best. Food is very expensive, Rs. 500 for 2 aloo parathas and Rs. 500 for 2 sandwiches. Linens were not clean.
Homely environment, they have small kitchen setup with fridge, induction oven, microwave, kettle, utensils etc, that might be useful for those who would like to cook/store food. Located on a prime area with less traffic and connects many business places including most of the embassies.

No breakfast provided even after taking orders for breakfast. Construction sound from 8am in the morning, you cannot sleep.
