The charges could be more transparent. I paid by card and later when back from travel and checking my bank account, I realised that I have been billed around Rs2,000-Rs4,000 more. Not sure what it is and I had misplaced my receipt by then too, so couldn't check up on it. Hence, best to pay either by cash or double check the full cost when checking out. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay.

Location - Assi Ghat is a 5 mins walk away. Vibrant night life and pretty safe as many tourists and locals were out and about even as late as 11pm and beyond. Staff are friendly and accommodative.

Room was lack of drawer and or alimirah to keep clothes. Few hangers were available only. At least one small almirah will enhance the phase value.

Locationwise great place. Room size is acceptable. The staff behabious is very good and restaurant food is veg and tasty. Breakfast Puri sabji is much better than famous Ram Bhandar. Try this plate is a must here.

There was some issue with the check in date and the booking was cancelled by Booking.com. However, the hotel contacted me directly on the day I landed. Due to delay in flight, we reached late but rooms were available for the stay ready for us. The hotel was proactive and facilitated the stay well. One room had some strange smell but they changed the same without arguments.

Did not eat breakfast in the hotel as we left for temple visits very early in the morning. Had room service on one day. Food was tasty and quantity was plenty. Coffee was made with coffee powder and was ok.

Cost is slightly higher. Flexibility in vacating the room could have been slightly relaxed. Food was good and again costly. Ambience in the upstair (restaurant) was good. Service is expected to be even more better particularly at the restaurant. Toilet items (tooth paste, etc.) and the bedsheets and covers should have been changed every day.

Breakfast could have been much better with more varieties and on time service as well. Location could have been at a slightly remote place as there was some bad smell from the annexed cow shelter, particularly in the room we stayed.

The lift did not work continuously, very inconvenient. Room telephones were frequently out of order. WiFi was pathetic. Room AC had a musty smell and was conspicuous by the second day. Was smelling very bad.

The location is great, very close to the Assi Ghat. Food was very good on the days we chose to eat at the hotel We had breakfast one day and lunch on another day. Food quality, taste, and quantity were excellent.

Room size was bit smaller for 3 Beds

When I have started searching for a hotel in Varanasi for my family trip-I was fed up of fake review writers, who made my searching of good hotel -a very complicated/challenging task. Thanks God, finally I have ended up in Haveli hotel. Being a pilgrimage I just wanted to have a decent , clean hygienic accommodation at Varanasi that too near the Gangaji... HAVELI fulfilled all of them, Thank you. (I am not bothered about TV , WiFi etc unwanted things- though they have provided, But, Lift- I appreciate). When ever I requested for cleaning of room, water , tea powder, soap- they provided. The Food was nice, safe and good preparation. The only not so attractive was- the price...!! which they have kept on little higher side I felt...These are my sincere un biased comments.

Lack of space. Overpriced for services it provides Room service is poor due to limited staff. The complimentary breakfast was not good. They dont put a buffet. You have to keep asking them to bring things, and it takes so much of time that you will get bored. On one occasion when we asked for fruits, one person literally went to market and brought banana and apples. The bananas were raw. I request the management to look into it. Its a insignificant cost to improve the complimentary breakfast for which you are charging Rs. 500 extra. Pl improve, you have a strstegic location, dont exploit it, hust improve the comfort of your customers.

The location is excellent. It is right next to Assi ghat. You can easily find erikshaw, uber taxi or riksha to commute. Roof top restairant is excellent. Preperation of food is good.

Check in and Check out was an average experience. We had a poor experience as far as the roof top restaurant was concerned with reference to getting a place and the quality of service very poor.

Mattress were too soft. Space in the room was very limited. Room was not cleaned for months in the wooden carvings. Room was not cleaned daily of its own. Staff was inadequate in number.

Booking.com indicated the property would ask a deposit equal to one night’s stay but I received a message from the hotel that 50% was required and a QR code to process the payment but didn’t work. after a couple of follow ups to ask for an alternate way to pay, I was sent some Banking information with no instructions and no email so I could not send an e-transfer. I followed up a few times and they were no longer responding. When our hotel in Agra called for us the night before, Baranas Haveli “could not locate our booking” … many of their staff look lost and confused. Our room had no curtain for the shower rod and no squeegee to remove the water that unavoidably covers the entire bathroom floor if you use the shower. While the property is being refreshed with paint, basic cleaning of light fixtures, menus, patio chairs and tables would go a long way. Not a deal breaker, but be advised on-site restaurant lacking many items on their menu.

Good location. Nice breakfast in terms of quality though more options could be provided. Great ambience in the restaurants. Room provided is of adequate size and facilities. They provided a local tour guide who really guided us with all the attractions we wanted to visit - with the right time of the day to ensure we had minimum wait time.
