How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Net i.e WIFI Service was so bad that we could not do our work during our whole stay. Made complain but received only assurance.

reason i hv been doing room booking this this website but no hotel asked to pay in advanced as i had already submited my credit card details if i dont show they could hv charge my card i got a mail saying my booking would get canclled if i dont pay as i was abroad and reaching early morning it was a bad expirience

Low on professionalism. Attendant talking too much. No restaurant after 11 pm so late arrivals must go to bed hungry. The property is tucked away in an obscure place in Ville Parle and wasn't easy to find. I didn't like the location very much.
They waited for me though I arrived late night. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean with all the necessary amenities.

The hotel has not mentioned that smoking is allowed on the floor or in the room. I selected a room where the entire floor smelled of cigarettes. Immediately I went to the reception and requested for non-smoking floor and room. The staff was friendly and supportive. They accepted my requested and upgraded room without additional cost.

In general rooms the temperature too cold, e.g. restaurant and lobby. Our room 704 was too noisy- above on the roof non-stop like a machine or engine whirring sound (maybe someone's AC in our roof or boiler or sth else service tech). I also mentioned this twice but nothing was done no room was changed. Room AC was noisy and not possible to choose temperature: only OFF, low, medium, or high, and low was stronger than medium. Even when off it was rather cold, seems they have an automatic temp set even if the client puts the AC off. Boy had no idea what temperature = low etc.
The room was spacious and well-maintained, with quality sheets and towels. Nice view. Nice room, furniture, details, good black out curtains. They have a nice hotel car and a reasonable shuttle price to the airport (499 international and 299 domestic) with uber of course half the price but still a good option. The breakfast option was nice, although expensive 750 per person.

Complete Advance payment for room check-in is must, like we will run away after taking room possession... All 2 days we were served the same menu for breakfast... The basement restaurant needs pest control since we found small pests while having dinner... Lastly believe me you will get a better deal at the check-in counter of the hotel than to book from booking.com or Agoda.com
Food taste was good.... Staff well behaved... Breakfast was well served... Had all kinds of delicacies ranging from Indian, Gujarati & Eggs.

Connecting to wifi was such a pain. I had to go to front desk multiple times. Restaurant and the food was average. Service was very slow. There was discrepancy on what they said on booking and what i received. I booked an executive room which said there would be 1 double bed and 1 extra large double but there waa only 1 extra large double bed. They did provide a single bed.
The room was clean. Toiletries were available. Beds were comfortable. Special thanks to Front desk staff Rizwana.

They could have accommodated us in a larger room for the 3 of us, as we had booked two months ahead.
