Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThere was no coffee/tea kettle or setup. I had to leave early in the morning (which probably is the case with 90% other customers given the location near US consulate) and had to step out without anything. This was bad.
The room was clean and spacious for 2 persons. Good lighting and working A.C made the stay comfortable. Some basic conviniences like Toiletteries and mosquito repellent were provided in the room.

IndiaKitchen should operate in early hours also.
Walking outside was not good. Garbage was thrown on the sides of the road. As it was rainy season, road was flooded with water. Cleanliness outside the building was a problem. Kitchen is not all time working. If you go early for work, no breakfast is available.

IndiaThe location of the building is quite dodgy and dirty. There are no electric kettles(tea makers), no cups for tea, no tea or coffee sachets.Had to order everything via room service and no complimentary breakfast. The building is shared with lots of different hotel brands, each floor of the building belongs to a different hotel.BKC crown is on the 9th floor.
The room that i stayed in was quite big with a circle shaped bed and it was so comfortable. The bed sheets and pillows were so clean as well.Had a separate living room(kinda) with a three seater sofa and a bath tub as well. Very near to the US Embassy.

IndiaWe were not provided free breakfast as is the case in most hotels. Even complimentary drinking water was not provided, until asked for on the last day. The lobby of the hotel complex is down right revolting. It is so bad that one gets the feeling that the cost of Rs 7300/- per day for the room is a rip off. A city tour which was arranged by the hotel was also a total disaster, as the driver failed to take us to all the places listed. Was taken to Juhu Beach at 3 PM in the blazing sun.
The interiors of the room was good. Linen was clean but was not replaced during the duration of our stay of 3 days.

IndiaVery bad locality & not clean. Plus the staff behavior was bad.
The location is a very shabby locality, makes you feel like in the slums. Would never recommend any of the BKC properties. Each floor of the building is a separate Hotel Name.

GermanyWhere to start... So basically in Mumbai there either are 4* Star hotels starting at rates of 13.000 to 15.000 rupies per night OR very low budget hotels. These are rooms in worn houses with a front desk and hardly any service you are used from hotels in Europe or the US. - Front desk: they can hardly speak english, you have to pay upfront, they will only accept cash! (although booking.com says differently) - Building: its basically a 10 story house in an unpleasent setting. Each each floor, at least the upper ones, represent a different hotel. BKC crown is floor 9. Inf front of the hotel a lot of motorbikes, tuktuks and people are gathering.. - Elevators: altough both are operating properly most of the time you have to wait ages, because they are mainly occupied by the staff running up and down all the time for no (obvious) reason. - Rooms: very basic ans worn. You have a bed, two small bedside-tables, a small cupboard and a filling and 1x million switches. putting in some maintenance and passion, it would be quite ok. And there is no window (maybe in some rooms) - Bathroom: like a vintage changing room for footballers in 1970, Worn, not properly cared of. Shower has no cabin and only spills water in one temperature, Everything seems unkempt and neglected. Toilet is ok. Please note, by standard ther eis no toiletpaper in the room. A small roll is handed over whilst check in, the same applies to soap and shower gel. It is stinky, probably caused by drainage or ventilation. - Loudness: the room is not really noise insulated. On the floor there is always action and noises, either because of returing guests OR becasue of the hotelstaff gathering in one room, shouting around or hearing loud music/TV. If I didn't have my noise cancelling earphones and ability to sleep good anyways, I would have been awake all night! - Generally hospitality and considertion ain't their passion.
If you are from Europe, don't trust the *** rating at all. Apart from offering single room, the standard is more like a worn out hostel which has had its best days long ago! Paying 3.000 or even more is a waste of money IMO! Please note: I stayed in Nov 2023 - in front of the hotel is a big construction work for the Metro, which won't be finished for the next couple of years. This is causing dusty and stinky air, dirt and dust, etc. and the necessity to drive/walk around the construcion site - consider this before booking. Recently a lot of fake ratings have been entered, thats why the ratio appears way better than it is in reality (check the obvious 10 ratings...) Positive: + in comparism to other places nearby in the same price region, it is kind of clean. Duvet cover and blankets are ok, towels clean and the room in general also (well apart of it being worn out optically). + The mattress was not too slouchy and was neither too hard nor too soft. + Shower was running ok + AC, is working good, without any problems
