How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room needs a good fridge. When the temperature outside is in the high forties, yes 47C/48C all you need when arriving back in your room is a cold drink. I did complain and the staff did offer to put my drinks in the hotel fridge BUT would I ring room service every time I wanted a cold drink through the night? It is also the first hotel I have visited where a sign in the bathroom informs me that hot water is only available on a morning up until 12:00 noon. After walking all morning in such temperatures I just needed a warm shower when back in my room. Otherwise a great hotel and a great stay. In such temperatures, a black tank on the roof could provide hot water for the whole hotel.
The position is great for a downtown experience, it is close to the railway station, and between most of the historical sites people wish to visit. The staff are always willing to help, cheerful and friendly. The room has most things that most tourists will need.

The location is very crowded.
Customer service and personnel are very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and rooms are comfortable. They also help with tour and transportation with an excellent service and fair price.

Sometimes you can hear other guests very loud in the hallways. There should be signs outside saying please be quiet
I only stayed here for three short days and it was good. The staff was attentive and breakfast was diverse and good.

We booked 2 rooms and neither fridge worked. Apparently hot water is turned off at miday till next morning. You can request hot water to be turned on to your room though during the afternoon,evening.
Great location down side alley so extremely quiet. Rooms were spacious. Bed was comfortable. Good hot water pressure and shower. Very clean. Friendly staff.

Could have been better to add more continental breakfast as more than half of guests were foreigners, some few options of fruits and juices.
Breakfast was great , location is.perfect, very close to metro station. Receptionist is very helpful, polite. Beds are comfortable, bed sheets are clean.

Surrounding area
Room size, cleaned bathroom and behaviour of the staffs. I appreciate that they have arranged dinner for us after 12:00 AM as our flight got delayed and we reached lately.

Location is remote, narrow roads
The breakfast was good with variety, staff is very good, speaks cordially, helps during check-in and check-out. Hotel staff Parashuram helped me and other staff as well behaves very good. Overall it is very good.

Food ordered gets sometimes delayed. Rest all is ok
I really liked the hospitality offered by the staffs at Blue Pearl. Special thanks to a staff called Parashuram he was really good and always had a very good helping mentality. Will really book next time on behalf of the good attitude offered by the staff members here at Blue Pearl Hotel

The only thing I would suggest to update is food - to include more European food for breakfast and make room service a bit faster.
Really good stay here! Clean new rooms, AC, all facilities were there, good location - close to Connaught place and railway station (but be careful - the area of main bazaar and close to it is a bit “Indian style” and in case you travel for the first time in India - be aware how it looks like), good tasty food for room service absolutely friendly & helping staff (actually everyone working in hotel - either it was room service or taxi issues or delivery problems) - I loved it most, in India you sometimes strongly need help from locals. And special thanks to Sharukh .
