How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

I did not realise it was totally a Vegi. Restaurant. The Bar had been shut down.
I chose this hotel because I new I was going to have an early flight to Madurai and so wanted to be nearby the airport. This hotel is around 4 miles away.

The ac wasn't working in the room that was allocated to us and we had to shift to another room. These things should be checked in advance, before allocating the room to a guest. At the time of checking in, one of the staffers at the reception said that the airport drop had been outsourced and that I would have to call them myself which didn't seem very helpful. Luckily for me when I returned to the reception later there was a more helpful person who made the necessary arrangements for me.
Clean and spacious rooms. It's quite close to the airport and reaching other places of interest within the city is also quite convenient as auto rickshaws are available outside the Dmart store next door. They also arranged for an early morning airport drop.

They wanted cash only. They refused to let us use our credit cards. They claimed they couldn't take foreign credit cards. I had to go out and find an ATM machine with list exchange rate and high fees while my wife day in the lobby. This hotel should not be listed without a warning about this.

Frequent power cuts. AC used to switch on by itself (when kept off) after the power resumes. Bed spread s were pretty old ( torn & stitched) but clean though.
Limited spread for breakfast. Stayed for 5 days. Everyday same items were present.

We had booked two similar rooms for two nights, only one room had a refrigerator, there was no kettle nor there was a hair dryer in the rooms, if the property claims to be a 3 star property these are things that needs to come with the rooms. The restaurant stopped serving South Indian dishes after 8 PM this was very strange for a South Indian restaurant to not serve basic South Indian dishes after 8 PM.
Very friendly staff, good location, big and neat rooms.

This is the high end hotel we stayed. Sort of above budget for our purpose of stay. The rooms are good, nice restaurant below. Staff very good, the manager gave us about three hours of grace time to over stay.

There is no hot water, fan not working, AC not working, no kettle for drinking,no fridge etc.
The main problem there was the hotel was understaffed and its managed by few people who are interns and they dont know anything apart from being rude and collecting monies..nobody is bothered about room service, complaints has been made but very poor response..no proper training of the staff and lots of attitude..actually nobody smiles at all there..

The recently started practice of providing buffet breakfast to room guests in a separate restaurant does not have usual amenities. Here they provided paper cups and plastic spoons. If you ask for non standard item Iike sugar free strong coffee, they need to fetch it from the main kitchen and then you don't get what exactly you ordered.
Large size room, big parking area. Good location for travellers. Nice buffet breakfast served. Restaurants are within the hotel. D Mart is just across the compound.

The check in was an absolute nightmare after a long journey. The staff needs training - basic etiquette like welcoming with a smile is missing. The room needs updation and the bathroom needs renovation. Wifi was spotty at best.
The one guy at the checkout time named Vijay was polite and a much needed breath of fresh air. They have infrastructure that has potential. Restaurant was good.
