Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Our Goa Trip was truly memorable coupled with the stay at the wonderful Casa Anjuna Hotel. A boutique hotel and a well maintained heritage property, it was a great place for relaxation amidst the lush green, beautifully maintained gardens all around the hotel. Would like to highly appreciate the behavior, support and services of the hotel especially Mr. Sameer (Manager), Hrithik, Lalit and Devidas who impressed us with their brilliant hospitality.

SerbiaIf I need to be picky: room require a bit of maintenance here and there
Stuff was very generous, helpful, respectful and warm welcoming. Their hospitality is top notch! Place is literarily the oasis in Anjuna. Outdoors area is lovely, every room has its small terrace with ottoman, pool is quite big not as wellness type size. Rooms are spacious and there is enough space for storage of the clothes. I will miss the sound of birds while showering next to the window, this was quite an experience! ❤️

The hotel location is very good. close to the beach and the center. the hotel garden is pleasant. the rooms are very comfortable. cleaning could be a little more sensitive. we will choose Casa Anjuna again on our next trip. As we are vegan, they tried to help us as much as they could by going beyond the standards at breakfast. staff were friendly and supportive.

IrelandThe hotel is beautiful, but very dated. It isn't maintained very well. The bathroom tap kept coming out in my hand (broken), the water ran out one day cause the tank wasn't filled, towels were never replaced. Wifi didn't work in our room, and we had to get the staff to move the routers. The breakfast doesn't have a menu. The staff just come and stand around waiting for you to order. Sometimes you get a black coffee, sometimes with milk pre mixed.
This hotel is beautiful. The owners have kept the Portugese touch. There's lots of greenery, and the pool is very good. The staff were also very helpful in sorting out our wifi issues. Location of this hotel is perfect.

United Arab EmiratesThere could have been more communication about what is available to us as guests, such as room service, timings of the bar and pool and so on. The only downfall of staying here was the poor WIFI connection across the entire property.
The property itself is unreal, so lush and green. It was truly a beauty to look at. The design of the rooms were awesome too, really unique and beautiful.

United KingdomThere aren’t any sun loungers around the pool, however there are some nice day beds and the beach is close by so it’s worth visiting there if you want to sunbathe!
A lovely styled hotel and felt homely with the decor. It also felt quite secluded with all the trees and plants around despite being close to busy area. The breakfast was lovely with fresh fruits and juice, and Indian and continental options. The staff were lovely and attentive. Davidas you were great, thank you!! There was a lovely space outside our room to order room service meals and eat with some privacy in the evenings. The chefs even provided us with recipes for some of the dishes we really liked. Within walking distance to Anjuna Beach which has a lovely sunset (10-15minute walk). We would recommend going towards Hayati and then down a side road to the beach where there are some loungers outside a small restaurant/bar (on the menu it says it’s called Nikita restaurant and bar but not sure if you can find it on maps) which looks like a shack (the loungers are free just had to order from their menu - very cheap). The staff were so lovely there and it was a bit quieter than further down the beach and a great spot to watch the sunset. Parveen Kumar (PK) made our time on the beach very comfortable and relaxing! It is best to get there around 10-11am to enjoy the swimming in the sea.

United KingdomRooms could have been cleaner for this standard of hotel and the price charged - there was a lot of dust and cobwebs in the room. For a hotel at this price we would have expected rooms to be cleaned daily and bottled water to be given daily. While many staff were kind and helpful, some were not. This included one manager knocking on our door one morning telling us we needed to check out, even though our booking confirmation , as well as the reservation details on his own computer, saying that we had one more night. It appears that this misunderstanding was due to the managers inability to count to 4. When we pointed out his mistake he apologised.
Beautiful building in good location in Anjuna. Close to all bars and restaurants but far enough to be quiet. Lovely pool area. Good size and comfortable rooms.

NetherlandsA few more adequately placed plug points in the room would have made it easier but again this is a minor issue.
We were upgraded to the Palm suite and literally had an entire suite to our selves with a living room and a separate bedroom. Great view of the surrounding gardens in a very beautiful Portugese style villa. This property is surprisingly hidden and extremely close to Anjuna Beach. The staff were extremely helpful and tended to every need. They even helped us out with renting a 2 wheeler for a very reasonable rate for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was really good and was made fresh everyday, and overall you can see quite a bit of effort put into maintaining the old Portugese feel through the old furniture, marble work and paintings
