Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaWe faced some problems with the water. Hopefully they can rectify this soon!
The location is ideal for those who want to be close to the action in North Goa while relishing the relative calm of the South. Rooms are cosy and well put together.

IndiaThe experience is superb. Rohan is an amazing host. I and my family had visited Casa do Leao in May 2024, the property is little away from the city but the ambience is super good. The property is well maintained and even the restaurant has good food options. Rohan helped us with few suggestions on where all to go around in Goa. The staff was also very helpful, polite and friendly. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

Rohan, his wife and all staff are amazing and very helpfull. They helped me with everything, with the taxi, with renting a motorbike and with lots of tips about Goa. The hotel is very clean, well organized and super beautiful. The garden, with the restaurant, are very welcoming. The location is also very good, close to the beaches and at the same time peaceful and quiet.

IndiaIn case ur looking for a place in Goa that is distant enough to not have any traffic snarls while also being reasonably closer to most of the tourist attractions of North Goa, look no further. This place also has an in house restaurant that serves almost everything under the roof including vegan and gluten free options. The quality and options of their food and drinks is superb. Rohan and Tatsiana and their staff are very warm too and very helpful. You can get ur pets along too. You ll love the nature centric vibe of this place. Its worth every penny and ur time!

IndiaThe location is not far from the main happenings but you have to plan for taxi arrangements in advance or wait times. The Host, Rohan is always available to assist with this. The Casa's location also doesn't always appear easily on maps, so it can be tricky. None of it is a dealbreaker.
We stayed for only one night but even with less than 24 hours of experience, we were able to pack in a lot. We had two meals at the Pizzeria part of the Casa, and both of them were really quite fantastic. The host, Rohan is super kind and helpful. With our early morning flight he was able to arrange a special travel friendly breakfast. He also helped arrange for an evening sunset boat ride, and gave us tips for a sundowner. The rooms and overall facilities are nice. I loved that they had maintained the character of a Portuguese villa in the rooms. The overall property and outside dining area is quite relaxing and peaceful - a nice getaway from the hustle bustle. Everything was comfortable and well-organized from an early check-in to early check-out. I would love to go back and stay for a few more nights.

We came from north India to this little piece of heaven without even knowing! It is a traditional old Portuguese house, but it has been completely renovated and the beds couldn’t be more comfy. The decoration is so welcoming that you can basically make it your home for the time you stay at Casa do Leão. The spaces are very clean (the room, bathroom and common spaces). The air conditioning works perfectly and if you prefere fans the rooms are also equipped with ceiling fans. The staff is super welcoming and attentive, the owners are the nicest and gave us the best recommendations for touring north Goa! This homestay is connected to the owners house and their pets come to say hi once in a while at the terrace space (dog and cat). The complementary breakfast is modest and tasty, but if you prefer something more you can choose from the breakfast menu which has a good value for the money. It is located in a quiet area of Nerul, which is perfect for resting and peace. In conclusion: we couldn’t be happier with this place

IndiaWe loved that it felt like home, loved the open spaces which Rohan and his family tended to with so much care and love - evident in the decor, greenery and thoughtful amenities they provided to guests. The team was warm, welcoming, helpful and always at the ready to be of assistance if a need arose. Safety was important since we travelled as a family with a 4 year old - the security posted throughout the night, well lit corridors and cctv's offered just that. The food at the pizzeria was delicious and we got so many recommendations from the host about the locale. The home also offered many spaces to lounge and explore. It was clean, well maintained. All rooms and bathrooms were spacious and spotless!

IndiaQuaint, artistic, impeccably clean and value for money - is how I would describe Casa Do Leao. Rohan and his family are a nice couple and were generous with their suggestions on how we could have a wonderful time at Goa. Patches and the other pets were fun to play with! The home has an in-house restaurant where they serves a great breakfast and yummy wood fire oven pizzas. The home is quite conveniently located with easy access to most of the attractions. Would highly recommend!

IndiaThe place is quite yet close to the city. It has a restaurant on premises which has great Italian food and plethora of cocktails as options. The interesting thing I noticed was there was a rocking foot rest with the rocking chair. Never seen that before. There is a day bed and the rooms and bathrooms both are spacious with high ceilings

IndiaOur stay at Casa Do Leao was perfect in every way. It is a 150 year old Portuguese villa converted into a boutique hotel with lots of history attached to it. The rooms were clean and aesthetically designed. The location was great, just a short drive away from Candolim. And the hosts were very hospitable and had great recommendations for things to do nearby.

CanadaNothing to dislike about this classy property.
Our three night stay here was absolutely delightful thanks to the very affable hosts Rohan and Tatsiana who along with their friendly staff showed us terrific hospitality through out. The classy property is so artistically and aesthetically put together and the room that we stayed in called Terra was speckless and pleasant. It also helps that the property is located in a very calm and green side of North Goa away from the overcrowded and noisy touristy side. Their in-house pizzeria serves fantastic food and we were lucky to experience a lovely live music event on one evening as well. Also, their excellent restaurant recommendations ensured we ate some of the best food that North Goa has to offer.

IndiaWhile there was nothing that the team could have done about it, we did experience some power outage while we were there. In the absence of fan/AC, the room did become a little stuffy, but electricity was restored before it got too bad. If I had to point out a niggle, this would be it. Even in this experience, shout out to the team for always being communicative and doing everything they could to ensure our comfort.
Casa do Leao is a beautiful property located a little away from the hustle of tourist Goa. Rohan and Tatiana are welcoming hosts and the team is generous and hospitable. The rooms are done up tastefully, the WiFi supported video calls, and for any specific requests, everyone was just a call away. I was travelling for work and Casa do Leao was a great place to come back to at the end of long days. In fact, on one occassion, we even wrapped up early just to be able to spend some more time at the property! Hard recommend for people looking for quiet stays in an otherwise bustling destination.

SpainJust to name a few items to improve. As there is always the need to go to places, it would be great that the taxi service was directly offered from the house, with a fixed tariff, so that the guests don't need to look for drivers and negotiate with them the price. Secondly, the music of the restaurant or the hall can be heard from inside the rooms, which breaks somehow the feeling of tranquility this house transpires. Lastly, we encourage the owners to develop the backyard area, to build a swimming pool or a quite garden, where to have some bathing or read a book under a shade, It will be the icing on the cake!
The lodging is based on an antique Portuguese countryside house, which has been arranged very tastefully, and it's been very pleasant to have spent some days there. The couple who manages it is extremely nice, and helpful with any doubt or question that arises. The location is also good because nearby there are a few beach areas which are very lively and with many leasure options (Candolim, Calangute, Morjim). Inside the house there is a Italian-type restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is also useful, because you don't need to go outside to eat all the time, since you can stay at the house and do it. The range of food you can order is quite varied, there is a range of food available. For the kids it's been an unforgettable experience, they have really enjoyed the quiet countryside atmosphere. We were given the family room, which perfectly suits a four-member family with two kids. It has a loft, and the kids have really enjoyed to be there, separately from their parents. There are a big swing in the front door, which the kids have been enjoying every now and then. To sum up, it could not have been a better experience for us, who visited Goa for the first time.
