Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Both of the room had majestic wall to amazing furniture, felt like we were in a palace. It has both indoor and outdoor swimming pool, which we used during our stay.

United States1. One of the biggest areas of improvement is the pools. If the hotel invests in the heating capabilities for the 2 pools, they will be much better. From Nov - Mar, the pools are simply too cold to use. 2. A very small area of improvement is the soaps. I wish the soaps and shampoos could come in large dispensers fixed to the walls. Large dispensers are easier to use, cheaper to fill up, and more environmentally friendly. Small soap bottles are difficult to use, environmentally wasteful, and often don’t contain enough soap. I really recommend that the hotel implement a system of large dispensers that can be fixed to the wall in the showers and bathrooms. In large Western hotels, this has become the standard and doesn't take away the feeling of luxury at all. 3. The pillows could be better. I wish there were memory foam pillows that come in various thicknesses. Memory foam pillows hold up their structure much better than standard pillows.
I loved my stay at Chunda Palace! 1. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It has a unique design aesthetic that comes from being the stately home of a Mewar noble family. 2. The rooms are gorgeous. 3. The location is great.

IndiaThey charged mandatory 6000 plus taxes per person for new year Night program and dinner and didn't allow guest any option...ie you have to book then only you get the hotel reservation. I feel guests should have freedom of choice what they want to do on new year Night. Water in bathroom room at best was Luke warm despite reporting several times and also leaving tap open for quite a while. Seems the heating system is not adequate. For new year party the menu was extensive and nice but the weather was windy and cold on the square terrace...making the food especially the starters cold by the time they were served. There was also no countdown of new year. Many people left for room perhaps due to cold weather. The folk program was good and performers were talented. All in all, a nice property and good staff but due to excessive commercial nature and high tariffs, it doesn't fit as value for money deal....were nit satisfied in the end. The management needs to think of better options to offer instead of mandatory charging the guest and also the high tariffs. Hope my views are taken in right spirit if they really want to improve. Thank you!
The facility is very traditional with nice sculptures and paintings. The staff is very helpful...special mention to Chunilal and Sonamji for personal attention for our food service. Location is good and has nice ambience.

United KingdomThe service really could be improved. Sometimes we ordered things from reception and they didn't turn up, the welcome was not grand at all, the restaurant was very slow to provide us with our bill. In comparison with taj hotels, they do not compete in service. They are able to compensate for all of this with their property but to improve their service would place them in competition with the very best hotels in the region.
Very nice place. Really is a Palace that is preserved in the way it should be. You will feel like you are a royal. The rooms were not plain - they really had a character and were designed really well.

United StatesBreakfast was good, but their bread offerings weren't the best. We found this to be true across India so it's not really the fault of the hotel. The pools were not heated so not usable in the winter. They looked amazing and would be a great amenity at other times of the year.
The hotel is quite beautiful with a lot of art on the walls. The rooms were large and felt extravagant. There was a window seat that was quite nice. We could have easily slept four in our room which would have saved on cost.

NorwayI am a bit insecure about the water quality of the pools. People jump in the water with cloths on, and I did not recognize any chlorine or other desinfectant... Anyway I used it and was careful not to swallow it. My Indian friends said the restaurant could do a bit more on the spices / gravy part of paneer dishes. I liked the food a lot though (not a vegetarian). As another small minus: there is no garden where to walk a bit.
Nice hotel. Renovated in style. The breakfast can be taken outside or inside. There is a little gym for powertraining (which is the thing I like) as well as an indoor pool and an outdoor pool besides the restaurant. The hotel was pretty quiet which is exceptional in India. Perhaps also because when I stayed there the marriage season had just ended. But anyway that was a big pluss!
