Perfect stay within a budget. Must recommended who are travelling for a short while be it regard of work or not. The staff is very cordial and listens to your requests. The room, bed, washroom everything was tidy.

ACs were off till 1pm which made the whole hostel very hot. Wall fans aren’t located strategically so some places don’t get enough air. An uncle started fighting with me when I tilted the fan little towards myself. Also the hostel has too many rules and absolutely no chill vibes. So in case you’re looking for a fun hangover, this ain’t the place.

Clean and spacious dorm. Good spread of breakfast. Nice location, easy to find. Toilets were clean and were always available.

Breakfast was poor. Instead of Butter, they serve Nutralite butter, better they stop serving substitute items and charge bit extra for real butter.

Don't expect much from breakfast, it's basic.

This hostel is really well run, clean, spacious and in a great location. Roof top has awesome views! A nice mix of travellers from round the globe. Comfy beds.

The day I arrived the guy on the reception asked me to cancel the reservation and offered me me a discount. I refused but he kept on insisting on and on, it was really uncomfortable. If you are going to do volunteer work with de misionerys of charity this place is to far away from.mother house to go there every day at 7 am.

Would appreciate it if the garbage is segregated. Currently, both wet waste and recyclables were all collected in 2 bins together. Would advise the management to have a separate bin for food waste and compostable garbage. And a separate bin for dry and recyclable waste to make it more efficient for city waste management teams. The property also has notices to not tip any of the workers, however, the watchman below the building followed me to the road while leaving early in the morning, requesting for tips which I found odd, especially since I had no real interaction with him during my stay. May be the management could ensure that he gets paid sufficiently for his service and that would be great. Also, please add a mirror in the dormitory as well.

My stay was good. People were nice and everything was as I had expected. Kitchen area is pretty spacious and convenient. There was hot water in the bathrooms which were cleaned regularly. Dormitory was cleaned as well. I arrived at midnight and Aman was kind to guide me over the phone to the property, especially since there were no cabs available that night for over 2 hours from the airport. There was drinking water available all the time, and food and grocery deliveries are also convenient to the area.

The staff comes to clean the room every day around 8:30, they don’t knock, just turn on all the lights, making impossible to sleep. Also if you pay for the small room you pay more and will have to share the washroom with everyone else, but if you choose the bigger room with more people, you have a washroom only for the room, doesn’t make any sense the more expensive option is worse. Also there’s no possibility to have a only-female room, for women traveling alone may not be the best option.

I had a fantastic experience at City Central Hostel! The dormitory-style setup was surprisingly comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The location was ideal, right in the heart of the city, making it convenient to explore. Clean facilities, vibrant atmosphere, and budget-friendly – I'd definitely stay here again!

Shoes are lined up outside the room. It looks odd. There should be shoes rack out sides . Some borders aren't following the hostel rules. Such as not to enter the room and common hall with outside shoe, cleaning of utensils.This needs to be monitored. There are no bed lights, switching main lights, especially while sleeping, disturbing others. Low power floor light is suggested Ladders to climb on top bed is loose . It makes noise and disturbs sleeping.

The traffic of kolkata. My nerves just arent ready for accepting idiots.

Kolkata is hell but this hostel makes it tolaratable. Definetly will be my my first choice in the future.

The commode in the attached washroom was loose in the bottom and uncomfortable to sit.

Good and friendly staff, Adequate amenities, Prompt action taking attitude. Shared but spacious room.
