There were miscommunication between us for the activities to do in the desert and the pricing, just make sure you understand each other to avoid inconvenience

Such a beautiful and quiet place with amazing tents! The bed was the most comfortable i had in all my trip in india and the bathroom one of the best. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Nice breakfast in the morning. The staff is very nice! To reach the place you can use their service a little expensive or rent a scooter or a car, you can’t reach it with public transportation!

Mr. Shamboo was a great host who took care of our needs and was in touch throughout. He prepared delicious chai, pakoras and a simple vegetarian meal at the sand dunes along with live music by the local artists. It was a beautiful experience to go on a camel ride to the dunes, watch the sunset, stars and then the full moon. We were very happy with his hospitality and wish him all the best for making his dream for Desert Vista come true. It’s not an easy task to manage and run a place in middle of the desert but his passion for it has made him come a long way. He and his team ensured a comfortable stay and took care of all our needs. The beds were super comfortable in the tents and the attached bathrooms were spacious and clean. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

    Can't think of anything I didn't like.

The location was amazing. When our transport drove past the sign telling us we were entering the desert national park I knew we were heading for the right place. Our host Sambhoo explained all our choices for exploratory activities and camel rides and organised just what we wanted. Great service, all needs and requests sorted. Pick ups and return to Jaisalmer were organised and luggage storage arranged while we waited for our train out of Jaisalmer. The camp is small enough not to feel like a resort - a real desert location but with all the necessary facilities of a high standard. Freshly cooked food all great. Bathroom and bedroom very large, comfortable and clean.

Nothing. I've had the best time.

I've got no words to explain how beautiful and clean the room is. Everything is pretty new and extremely functional. However, what makes this place special is Shambhu, the owner, who is really a gem of a person. He's gonna do everything possible to make your stay unforgettable. For instance he up-graded us to the bungalow for free as the temperatures were really high. I will be back. Looking forward to seeing the starry sky with no moon next time. Thanks for everything ❤️

The desert vista camp was spectacular and will remain one of my favourite holiday stay forever! Shambu the owner showed us to our tent which was one of the best tents ever. It was very clean and comfortable! The facilities in the bathroom was amazing and the beds were so comfy! I would highly recommend everyone to book a stay here as it was so beautiful to go into the dunes to have dinner and watch the stars. Shambhu and his team were so kind and helpful to accommodate any of our needs.

Nothing, everything was perfect and more than we could have wished for!

What an amazing stay at Desert Vista Camp. We wanted and got a quiet, authentic experience in the desert, with more comfort after travelling for weeks through India. After booking, the owner immediately contacted us friendly to ask if we needed pick up. At arrival my partner was sick unfortunately, and the owner offered us a free upgrade so he could even rest and sleep more comfortable! Although all the types of accommodation on this property are very, very clean, comfortable and very well decorated. The staff is exceptionally kind and friendly and all come from the nearby village, so really it is their part of the desert you are staying in. We booked a Camel Safari with cooking & dinner under the stars, and it was so fun to be with them and learn from them. Highly recommended!

My visit to the desert camp exceeded all level of comfort and coziness they offer in such a secluded location. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, allowing for perfect rest after day-long adventures. The tent's interior was tastefully done, with beautiful furniture and ample space, making the stay here particularly enjoyable. I would like to especially mention the bathroom - it was spacious and provided all necessary amenities, including hot water, which is not always available in such remote places. The care for guests was evident in everything, from the camp owner Samdhu, who personally greeted us upon arrival, to the attentive and considerate staff, always ready to help. The tranquility and peace of this place allowed to completely disconnect from the daily hustle and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature, including the impressive star-studded sky and the soothing chirp of crickets at night. However, one of the most memorable moments was the camel safari. It's a unique experience that offered a new perspective on the beauty of the desert and allowed to feel its scale and grandeur. Regarding the culinary experience at the camp, it certainly deserves special attention. Each meal was not just nutrition, but a true feast for the taste, in which carefully selected local products were turned into culinary masterpieces. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners served here reflected the richness of the local cuisine, offering a wide assortment of dishes to suit any taste. Overall, visiting this camp is the perfect way to explore the desert without compromising on comfort or style. I definitely recommend this place to those looking for unforgettable adventures with the comfort of a luxury level.

Our only regret is not staying longer and having more time to just relax at the camp in the peaceful surroundings.

There isn’t enough that I can say to sum up our experience at Desert Vista Camp! Sambhu is the owner of Desert Vista and runs the camp with the help of his brother Sewas and a fantastic staff of locals from the nearby villages. Sambhu makes it his personal mission to ensure that every guest has a fantastic experience, and it does not go unnoticed. His staff was super helpful and friendly and contributed to the fun our group had on the camel safari and the sunset Jeep safari. The luxury Swiss tents were some of the nicest accommodations we have ever stayed in; so comfortable! While on the camel safari, we had lunch and dinner cooked right on the fire, as well as tea and snacks. The meal was simple and delicious. At the camp we also had the dinner buffet, that was fantastic. We got an opportunity to sample real Rajasthani dishes. It was such an awesome adventure and we cannot wait to go back again! I would definitely recommend staying here and going on the camel safari and Jeep sunset trip on the dunes.

Some improvement areas - Good to provide scorecard of all services and prices to maintain transparency Good to inform guests of all services. I missed the option of sleeping in the desert under the stars. Good to cover breakfast food with baskets to avoid flies. And provide few more healthy options in breakfast like oats, milk.

Friendly and helpful staff, that go beyond to make your stay great Good location, 45 kms from Jaisalmer, where you get the remote desert tent vibes and amazing stars Good food, freshly made with local tastes Good room, Clean and well maintained property Nice desert safari on camels with good sunset view, bonfire, fresh cooked food under an amazing starry sky Please note that this is a desert camp stay in a remote environment. So be considerate towards the staff and locals in terms of expectations. Please also keep 1 extra night for backup in case of erratic weather for example.

Nothing. The experience was through and through amazing, one of the best times I’ve had. Truly unique.

EVERYTHING. This was the best desert experience I’ve ever had. The place is in Barna side of the desert, which is much more peaceful and less commercial than the Sam desert. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, the added experience provided by Shambhu is mesmerising. He and his staff takes great care of their guests, and gives one-of-a-kind experience with night safari, camel safari, dinner and breakfast on dunes, sleeping under the stars and star gazing. The staff more than accommodates for the guests. I loved the national reserve, within which the property is located. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a secluded yet quiet, peaceful, serene and a stay that helps you connect with the nature. Great job and thank you, Shambhu and team Desert Vista

Staying at Desert Vista Camp with Shambu and his staff was the best decision and the highlight of of our whole Rajasthan trip. I don’t know if I can convey fully how amazing this trip was - you just have to experience it for yourself! This is still a new-ish camp which is why there aren’t as many reviews as you’d expect, but our stay was phenomenal. Specifically, staying here is a way to authentically experience the desert while still having a comfy bed to sleep in. We took a trip out on the camel to spend an evening cooking, eating and singing under the stars with the other visitors, and then we’re taken back to sleep in a room that is surprisingly clean, comfy and luxurious for being in the middle of the desert!! The camp is maintained spectacularly, all the staff are personable and excellent. They’ve made an effort to make sure the experience isn’t touristy. In the end, we were left wishing we had stayed more than one night. I intend to be back and spread the word of Shambu and his venture far and wide - if you have the chance to stay here, do it!

I highly recommend the camp experience, because it is a great way to take a break from the chaos of Indian cities. We booked 2 tents and I can say that they were truly beautiful. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom and room in general were super clean. We had enough hot water to take two showers, which is not a given in this country. At sunset we took a camel ride and it was truly magical. We then had dinner in the desert around a fire and the food was truly delicious. What strikes you the most, however, is the kindness of Shambu, the owner of this place. He first came to pick us up in the city and then throughout our stay he was super helpful and attentive to our every need. The structure is new, only two years old, but I can say that it has potential. I wish Shambu great success, because he really deserves it.

Incredible two nights at the vista desert camp with Sambhu and his company. The accommodation was superb, comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Even though it’s a tent, there is very hot water and everything is extremely clean. All of the hosts were incredibly attentive and kind and the desert safari was unforgettable, a beautiful meal cooked under the stars with many stories shared and memories made. It's kinda expensive, but amazing experience worth of having!

The Desert Vista Camp is a luxurious place with amazing service and very friendly staff! They helped me with everything I asked for and are overall looking to give the best service possible. Shambhu (one of the owners) is a great guy who even drove me to a village in the desert because I wanted to buy some handmade jewelry. The Camp is located perfectly in a very peaceful place and offers amazing safaris with camels to everyone's liking. They even had an evening event with a local music band and dances, which was truly amazing! I loved staying there and recommend it definitely! Thanks again to all the staff, the owners and the Camel guides.

We spent 2 wonderful nights with Shambhu and his team. The first was a camel ride into the desert where we spent the night under the stars. Shambhu and his team provided everything we could have needed, including chai, water, delicious food cooked on the fire, and a comfortable bed. The sunset and starry skies were amazing. The following day we stayed in one of the luxury tents on the site. The rooms and private bathrooms were large and immaculately clean and contained all the amenities you could need. The onsite restaurant also made lovely food. Would highly recommend staying here! Thanks again Shambhu and team :)

I had a wonderful time at the desert camp with my friends. We stayed for three days and enjoyed every moment of it. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and he arranged everything for us. He also gave us a lot of information about the desert and its culture. The food was amazing, especially the local dishes that they cooked for us. We had a variety of options to choose from, and they were all delicious and fresh. The camp was very comfortable and cozy, and we had all the amenities that we needed. The best part of the trip was the camel ride. We rode the camels across the sand dunes and watched the sunset. It was a magical experience. We also saw the stars at night, and they were so bright and beautiful. It was like a dream come true. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to have a unique and memorable adventure in the desert. It was one of the best trips of my life, and I will never forget it.
