We booked Luxury Suite. The room was exceptionally large and it had a semi private huge terrace facing lake Pichola. The stay was peaceful and soothing.

I booked a deluxe room via Booking.com but it wasn’t that good so we decided to upgrade to luxury room instead. The luxury room had a balcony which was shared with another room so didn’t like that part. Overall it’s an experience you must have as the palace itself is very beautiful and is just next to the lake but it’s very expensive at the same time..

AC duct was straight over the head rest. If you remove the quilt it became too cold if you covered your head became hot so couldn’t sleep properly. No service of drinks and food on pool side.

Nothing bad about the hotel of course, but overall i felt its not worth the money, for example, the restaurant area did not look good, they have placed patio chairs there! There is no outdoor dining space or any kind of cultural program at the hotel in the evening which most of the good hotels in Rajasthan have.

Its in the city palace so location wise it could not be better. The views of lake from the hotel are just amazing, especially from the pool area. Rooms are also beautiful! Food at the restaurant is also really good and the staff is also great.

Experienced Tajness, My wife loves Tea with a little bit of Holy Basil(Tulsi) in it and she requested the hotel to add some for her in the tea. Unfortunately, it wasn’t available, the next Morning, the server(Manish) told us he had brought Tulsi from his home specially. That was a good moment.

We visited the Taj Fateh Prakash in September to celebrate my wife’s birthday. To say that the experience has been memorable would be an understatement. Right from the moment we were welcomed in, we knew we were in for something special. The rooms were luxurious, with beautiful views of the lake and pillows so comfortable that one felt that one was resting on a cloud. Then came the food. The Taj has never disappointed, and that legacy was visible here too. The breakfast was spectacular, as was the dinner (the Laal Maans deserves special mention), and left one truly satiated after every meal. But perhaps the best part was the hospitality. I would like to specially call out our dinner host Mr. Lal Singh, who made our dinner extremely special, making sure that we tried each and every delicacy, and that while we were in a palace, it felt like home. A truly marvellous experience.

The hotel felt almost empty so there was not much vibe. There is no place where to have a drink, and they would not serve us a drink at the swimming pool which I think is a bit below what you should expect in that kind of place.

Stunning heritage building in the middle of the Udaipur Palace. Large room with wonderful lake views. Staff was always here trying to help. Stunning swimming pool on the lake shore.
