I had in prior informed at the hotel that I would be reaching by 2pm . The room wasn’t ready by then and the manager was kind enough to upgrade the room to club room for free and gave us the room right away.

I had booked the hotel for 3 nights and my dad was visiting Bangalore for a day and stayed with me. I had explicitly stated during checkin that my dad would be there for only one night. The checkin staff refused to give me 2 access key cards and said that the other one would deactivate the moment i use the first one. Total bullshit and utter nonsense. This is the first hotel who has refused to give me 2 access key cards. I was quite irritated and the checkin staff finally gave me 2 access cards. He was then behind the scenes speaking to a colleage that the additional guest would stay for all 3 nights and not pay the surcharges. It was disgusting to hear it. That was so arrogant as he thought i was a cheapskate. That was so condescending. During check-out i realised that bill that he had charged for an additional guest for 3 nights. I infact showed him my dad's return tickets and told him how could my dad stay here if he had a return flight booked. Finally, someone else came and confirmed that my dad had informed the checkout desk and dropped the access card in the box and left. The behaviour of the checkin staff was disgusting in this aspect. I wouldn't stay here again purely due to the attitude of the check-in staff.

The staff at the restaurant were very polite and great. They took great care of us. The buffet was quite decent and had good options with a live dosa / omletter counter as well.

Booking.com form clearly shows my room had a bath. However no bath provided. Found out from maid that no rooms on third floor had baths. So I was either downgraded with no refund or the booking.com website is wrong. I'm afraid every time I stay here I have the same problem, which is the room swipe card must be used to operate the lifts but they fail every 2 to 3 days and you have to get it re-programmed.

As usual staff were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast choice was vast, and waiters couldn't do more for you. Usually same staff at breakfast and dinner, always pleased to see you and engage in conversation.

Dinner buffet is pricey, 2700+ for 2 but no fruits on the dinner buffet spread. my daughter likes chicken, but she did not like their drums of heaven. My daughter rarely, doesn't like chicken. so it must have been not really good. Morning breakfast spread is not great compared to other Fortune properties I have stayed before, like in Mysore or Udupi. Check-in process is bit clumsy. I booked room for 1 day, later in the evening, I went to reception, there was a temporary staff standing there at that time, I asked if I can extend for 1 more day and the staff acknowledged my booking.com booking for the first day and called somebody and said to me later that, I can get the same rate as booking.com for the next day and it will be confirmed by the hotel. But next day morning, as if nothing happened, reception staff asked me when am I checking out, then I have to tell the full story again, but they found no record of my conversation on the earlier evening. So, I had to go back myself again to booking.com and book my stay for the next day and then go to reception to pay the money. Not organized well. But reception staff were well mannered and kind. Good location if you are willing to pay more.

The only complaint is “ I was booked until Dec 4th. But I vacated on Dec 1st. I deposited INR 50000.00. The bill was some thing around INR37000. The faculty doesn’t want return the remaining from the deposit, instead they charge me two days more stay and took extra INR 350. This act was RIDICULOUS. And out right stealing. The explanation from the counter is it will take many days return the remaining to my CC. Thank you.

1. While booking it shows that the selected room has a bathtub. When we reached, they said, it doesn’t include the bathtub. We asked for an upgrade they denied inspite of availability in the booking.com website.
