I was staying in a budget room - located outside of the main building (I was informed before arrival that this will be the case) - this room was very loud, because of no glass in windows (and there were 3 windows looking over 3 directions). Short walk from the main building, but the surrounding spoils the otherwise good experience.

Location is very convinient, althoug cannot be reached by car (keep that in mind). Nice restaruant, with rooftop view; patio where you can relax. Spacious room.

Good location, good people and good staff. Place in just on Ganga Ghat. All are cooperative. Mr Prajapati is best at reception and very polite and helpful. The vibes of the place is good. One should try it for leisure and relaxing.

Gentle staff, the property which has patio with green trees is making good vibes. The suite room with ganga view was so incredible and spectacular!

Nothing, but not a good choice if any difficulty walking.

I was happy that I arranged airport shuttle from hotel. They were waiting with placard and transported us to end of car zone. Porter then led us to hotel on foot- 15 minute walk through very crowded street full of shops. Lots of turns, so I was glad to have a guide to this Ganges river hotel. My room with river view was fabulous. Restaurant food was great. We enjoyed the boat ride at sunrise and then later street tour, although maybe a little pricey. ( charged more than the prices listed on restaurant menu. ) however, it was worth it for the information and history.

Passage lights are very dim. Becomes difficult to lock and open doors from outside in the evening.

It's located at a spot where almost all main destination like Vishvanath temple, Vishalakshi, Annapurna are very nearby. Right on the banks of Ganga with beautiful view. The other building of this property is located 2mins away, it doesn't have Ganga facing room. It was clean and well maintained. Staff is helpful. Restaurant serves good food. Loved my stay here!

The location and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, it’s close to everything you would want to see in Varanasi, I would recommend to anyone who is going to Varanasi, and yes you have to walk from main road but the sights and sounds are truly something else.

The standard rooms are not in the main building, but in another building a few meters away. We were informed of this after the booking was done. But for us, this was not much of an inconvenience. If wifi is a must-have, then better to make own arrangements.

The hotel has great views to the river. Staff is helpful and always ready to assist. The airport pickup and porter are very helpful since there is no way of getting directly to the hotel by car/taxi. The restaurant is good. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

It is located within the city/ market so is actually very difficult to find - we had a driver and cars are not allowed within the area so we had to get out and walk 10-15 mins. The hotel sent a porter to help us with our bags though. Our room was also outside the main building - we had to leave the hotel to walk there, through a quite dirty street. It wasn't an issue for us but may be for others. The AC also didn't appear to be working but we may not have figured out the remote properly.

It is a quiet reprieve within the busy market place. The food was excellent - both in taste and value. It is right on the Ganges which would have been excellent except that the boats were cancelled the days we were there (due to flooding) so we didn't get the full experience. There was a shower we were able to use after we had checked out which was very helpful.

It was clean and absolutely beautifully decorated. The location was great with stunning views over the Ganges. We stayed in a room with a balcony and river view. Staff were friendly especially Sunil who took us on a guided tour around Varanasi. Really good value and so informative. It would have been difficult to navigate through the narrow streets without him. I would highly recommend booking Sunil to guide you around Varanasi. I would recommend Ganpati Guest House to anyone thinking of visiting Varanasi.

Restaurant and rooms are good. Staff also nice and the guide from the guest house is good and shows you Varanasi. Beware, the guest house is not reachable by car so you need to walk to it but everything went smoothly. (they have a good service to help you on this. The location is awesome, view to the Ganges!

Somewhat expensive considering the facilities in the deluxe river-facing room. Our room had a private balcony, but bathroom was small. Power points could not support the weights of standard Indian mobile chargers causing the charging to discontinue after some time (the hotel told that they are addressing this issue). They gave only 500 ml water per occupant per day. However, staff behaviour and location were excellent.

The hotel is just adjacent to the ghats, which were under water due to floods. We could see the sunrise from our room.

- Location can't be reached by cars or tuctuc, you need to walk quite a bit with luggage - Due to a festival there was very loud music all day right next to our room. Not something which can be influeced by the hotel, but the rooms don't have any sound isolation.

They gave me room in a building away as I booked thru booking.com. There was no attendant. There was no intercom so you can't call anyone from annex to main hotel building. AC not so good. Wash basin tape was rotating when operate knob. Finally. No one helped to carry luggage till Chorasia chien or Girjaghar chowk. We walked with luggage for 1.5 km.

The surrounding lanes of the hotel and steep stairs to the upper floor

I wouldn't say it's exceptional but if looking for a clean and spacious place near temple/ghat, it's a good place compared to surrounding hotels. The hotel is well maintained but the streets outside of the hotel and streets leading to various temples are full of garbage and very careful walking is needed.
