Entirely due to the nature of this hotel, it requires a tuk-tuk (auto) from outside the fort, and lacks lifts. This can make it harder for the elderly or infirm to reach the upper levels or the restaurant. This is the tradeoff that must be made for staying in part of the old fort, however.

Located inside the fort, with wonderful panoramic views over the city. The rooms are decorated in sumptuous Indian style, air-conditioned, and with modern bathroom facilities. Food from the terrace restaurant on the top level is very good. Service is polite and friendly.

The view was spectacular in our room and on the roof terrace! All food is lovely, staff are very friendly and helpful. We recommend the camel ride safari which was fantastic and very good value. My partner felt very safe throughout which is a big bonus.

What a lovely experience to stay inside the fort! The staff is super courteous and helpful. If possible option for the sunrise view room, don't miss out on the view from the restaurant at the top.

In the hear of Jaisalmer Fort, incredible location, every attraction of Jaisalmer is walkable from there. The rooftop is amazing and the view also from up there. We had dinner on there rooftop and the restaurant is also good Very nice stay at this hotel would definitively come back

Everything was perfect!

Superbly maintained, authentic haveli. This place has it all. Great location in the fort itself, fantastic views of sunset and the city below. The rooms are each themed but are all decorated in traditional decor with lovely views. Each room has its own private bath. The food and service were top notch. You can order a set breakfast that includes the best pancakes with chocolate and banana that I've had in India. The quality and freshness of the food for all meals is excellent. We had several dinners here as well and especially liked the palak paneer and eggplant dishes. The manager, Anit, was so helpful with all of our requests. He helped arrange an overnight camel safari, transportation to the airport, laundry services, and even getting pants hemmed at a local tailor. Always available for advice, to answer questions, and responding to requests. This is the place that you want to stay in Jaisalmer. Trust me.

Great views and spectacular position

We were happy with everything!

Wow! The location, the ambience, the view! We were in the opium room in the turret looking down onto the main gate. We loved sitting in the window seat with the panes wide open looking down on street life and over the rooftops. You can see most of the havellis and across to the Chhatris and the curve of the fort walls. The atmosphere walking inside the fort is excellent and you are minutes walk away from the fort entrance and Jain temples. We arrived by tuk tuk from the police station a few metres from the main gate. During our stay we easily walked up/ down the main inner fort road. The bed was wide, firm but comfortable. We had air conditioning and a heater provided which we didn’t require. There were warm blankets. The shower took a few minutes to run hot but was great once it did. Pressure was good. There was an abundance of toilet paper! The room was circular, with an entrance lobby. We shared the floor with the red, slightly smaller green and blue rooms. All looking out in slightly different directions across Jaislmer. We had a welcome drink on arrival; the rooftop restaurant has stunning views and indoor and outdoor seating. The home cooked Indian dishes were excellent taste and value; we ate twice. There is a good range of options. The inner decor of the havelli is lovely with some nooks for reading. Breakfast was lovely. The best crepes we ate in India during our month. Generous portions of diced fruit and plain yoghurt, toast basket, fresh orange juice… and other options available including eggs. The staff were excellent; genuine smiles and attempts to help. They took our suitcases down to the fort entrance by motorcycle when tuk tuks were restricted during the desert fair opening ceremony. They checked on us when we had a sudden thunderstorm and squall which dramatically took out the electricity across the city! You may experience some power cuts which affects phone charging but most of the lights are on battery back up for safety.

Great stay in a typical haveli. The sunrise from the bedroom with the balcony was spectacular. Lovely view of the Fort, especially at night, from terrace where meals are served. Above all, the staff is wonderful and make your stay very comfortable

What a cool room! The headboard was unique. The window seat was a great feature. The view from the room was excellent. There was a space heater in the room for chilly evenings. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. The communal areas were a great quiet place to read. The breakfasts were served on the rooftop with an amazing view of the city and the Palace. The food was excellent.
