How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ginger Hotel in Jamshedpur, and it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I checked in, the service was impeccable. The housekeeping deserves a special mention; the rooms were spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and every little detail was taken care of, making my stay comfortable and pleasant. The food at the hotel was a delightful surprise. Each meal was delicious, with a wide variety of choices and flavors that catered to all tastes. The chefs clearly take great pride in their work, serving dishes that are both innovative and satisfying. Overall, my stay at Ginger Hotel Jamshedpur was truly outstanding. With its combination of excellent housekeeping and amazingly good food, along with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, this hotel is a perfect choice for anyone visiting the area. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit!

The rooms lacked proper upkeep, linen was dirty, had to request multiple times for basics such towels etc...
The location of the property is good, the maintenance of building and overall cleanliness ok, food served was good 👍

We had to leave to the airport morning 6.30am on 31st Dec. we got a call from Ginger on 30th dec evening asking if the breakfast should be packed. Next day morning 6.30 , a very good breakfast was packet for us. Thank you to the boy(I dont remember the name) who called us and booked the breakfast. Thank you to the chef for made the tasty sandwiches, egg and fruits. You both made my day.

For simple water, I had to struggle a lot. I didn't have water since evening till next morning. So I checke doubt of hotel beforehand.
They give two 500 ml water bottle complimentary. After this if you ask for more water, they won't provide you. I requested in night for water. The receptionist said it ll be sent soon but it was not done. Again in morning I requested for water which again was not honoured by the hotel management.

Room space is a concerning factor for me. Required enough space for buffet service. Good Wifi convenience and strength should be provided now a days due to working purposes also. Also, required a bit concentration on settings of TV channels, most of them are not working.
I like the hospitality. The lawn to hotel room feeling was good and quality of service is surely up to the mark. The building architecture and location is the best part of this hotel . Room ambience was so comfortable due to its proper lighting and decoration within.

There was some peculiar smell and even the washroom was smelling too much. The linen given to us had stains. Overall it was not worth its price.

Everything about the rooms.
The room was not clean, the window had no grills. The lock was broken, the sink pipe was broken and when the tap turned on, the water spilled over everywhere. The napkin holder was broken, there was pubic hair on the towel, the bathroom door was sticky. It was a typically Tata experience, just like Air India. On the other hand, the food was surprisingly good. Only the kitchen and the downstairs area seems to get the focus, the rooms are almost made for not inhabiting.

The amenities and inventory was way below par. There was only one pillow per person given and hotel was already out of pillows. First day they were out of towels after just one towel in the room. The shower curtain was short and all the water from the shower area came out. Only one key for the room was given. At least two key cards for a room should be given. All the above are the very basic that every hotel and even smallest Motels have. I was surprised to experience such inventory shortage and insufficient amenities.
The location was very good. The entire staff was very helping and courteous
