I loved everything about the place and the people at Gitanjali. I will keep returning to this place. Yamuna and Arun are fantastic hosts! Overall, the staff, the location, the home etc exceeded our expectations and left us wanting more time at the place.

It's not that we didn't like, but it would be easier for the guest if there is in-house lunch and dinner arranged. Rest everything is good.

Location was really good very peaceful and clam. Best suited place to stay away from all disturbances and be close to nature. Breakfast was unique and tasty, Kodava style.

It would have been better if they had an in-house cafe. But they still helped us to order food via cloud kitchens so it wasn't a big problem.

Very welcoming and serene property. Gitanjali homestay is a wonderful getaway, if you are looking to stay at Mysore -It is both central and quiet . The rooms are clean,property is well maintained too.Mr.Arun, the property manager,was extremely courteous and was always in constant communication with us even before we reached the property .Thank you to the team for making our stay a memorable one!

Before we arrived, Arun was in touch with us to help plan our logistics and was an ever-present facilitator throughout our stay. Yamuna is the perfect host. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting to her and picking her brain for suggestions on what to visit and where to eat. With its peaceful farm setting and beautiful garden, it’s hard to believe that you are a short auto (tuk-tuk) drive from the colourful Devaraja Market and Mysore Palace. We are already missing indulging in a feast of delightful birds from the cool verandah outside our simple and tasteful room. The breakfasts we had were scrumptious - crispy appams with homemade coconut and organic jaggery, idlis with spicy chutney, homemade banana and bitter orange marmalade all washed down with flavourful South Indian coffee.

If we have to pick something for the sake of it, then may be we would point at the mosquitoes during the evenings...but well, if you want to stay amidst nature, then you can't complain. All you need is some mosquito repellent applied on your hands and feet, and you are good to go.

Excellent location, cut off from the urban areas, great landscape (more natural than manicured, and thats fantastic!), very clean toilets, comfortable beds, and the 2 adorable dogs...what else would one ask for during a lazy vacation.

Peaceful location with beautiful gardens! We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Arun was so friendly and helpful organising taxis, restaurant booking, SIM cards, massage etc the list goes on. This was the best accommodation we stayed at during our trip to India. Arun was very efficient in organising tuk tuks for us & offering advice on where to go. Yamena & her parents were very welcoming & made us feel part of the family. We were sad to leave as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good & there was always plenty.

Well maintained property located at the foothills. Rooms were neat and clean. Aun - the property manager, is really helpful and responsive. The owners are really delightful people - asking us if everything is fine. Breakfast served was delicious (best sagu I ever had). There are some birds around the property if you enjoy birding.

The only thing which would have made the break exceptional is availability of lunch & dinner within the property. It would mean not going in search of restaurants for food. Even some simple food is a welcome advantage. Just a suggestion to the management make our stay totally relaxed.

We liked everything about the property. Tucked away from the main road, the serenity, quiet, natural surroundings, the maintenance, the staff esp Arun , overall perfect to relax. We would love to visit again.

It’s the best experience we ever had with holiday rentals. Both place and hosts are amazing. Yamuna, her parents, and Arun are very friendly and helpful. I confirm all the positive reviews from other tourists. We came to Mysore during the Dasara festival. The city was overcrowded. But it looks like we were the only foreign guests in the whole city. Gitanjali place was very calm and relaxing, beautifully designed, with a lot of trees and flowers. Yamuna and Arun helped us to book taxis for most of our daily trips, and gave us advice on where to eat and what to see. For us as foreigners, it was very valuable.
