The entrance was a little strange as it appeared that you were entering a different hotel (Harbour View is on the third floor accessible by a lift). Breakfast was okay but personally I felt like there could have been more choices if you didn't want the hot food that was on offer

Great location by the harbour near to The Gateway of India. Fantastic rooftop bar/restaurant with wonderful views. Room very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others

Not enough space for things in one small wardrobe. The waiters do not really like people drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes, which is allowed in the rooftop restaurant. They make this clear, which was not comfortable. Therefore, the next evening we went to the rooftop restaurant to the hotel right next door, and the restaurant there was very nice. There, there were no such situations.

Location excellent. Room very clean, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Indian cuisine breakfasts. Easy to arrange taxi or excursion at the hotel. I recommend a morning walk, the Gate of India still closed but the view is great, the streets empty but you can already have wonderful masala tea.

The entrance was a bit odd as it was on the third floor accessible by a lift. The reception staff were helpful but a bit stern. We didn't eat breakfast there in the end so unable to comment.

The hotel was situated on the harbour not far from the Gateway to India which was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable with a good shower and comfy bed.

All was broadly ok. Breakfast in the bar above was broadly reasonable, but the place wasn't so good for drinks etc in the evening (strange service and a bit stuffy)

Small hotel. Just note that it's on the 3rd floor and is very newly decorated. Photos on Google show the red rooms whihc are from the hotel downstairs. Perfectly helpful reception. Big room. Nice bathroom. Good location for Colaba - a few mins walk to the Taj

Breakfast only from 8am, the noise from other guests. Me having to tell others to be considerate to other guests. The reception team did nothing to stop. Other guests from slamming doors and shouting. To each other with open doors. Not really acceptable when you have travelled long way and at night would like some sleep.

We loved our stay and this will be our go to hotel for stays on future visits to Mumbai. Wished this hotel had a pool but it is not possible and it does not take away from the wonderful place that Hotel Harbour View Hotel is.

What a pleasant surprise! Location, location, location! In Colaba, a 5 minute walk to the Gateway of India, a 5 minute walk to Colaba Street. A better location in Colaba will be difficult to beat. The facilities. The room was beautiful, cool, crisp and clean. The bathroom although small was beautiful, modern and clean and more than adequate. The staff, friendly, helpful and kind. The rooftop restaurant - with the exceptional views and delicious food and fantastic service.

Impossible to sleep on mattresses. You feel like you're sleeping in a hole.

Rooms could have been cleaner, but all the most important parts (bedding, bathroom) were acceptable. "Tranquil sleep room" is a con, it was actually noisier and much smaller than the room my companion booked for less money. Some services offered by the hotel were ridiculously overpriced, they were not helpful with taxis or other things someone who just arrived to the country might need. Airport pick up was first offered to us, then we were told it's not available when we actually wanted to book it.

Fantastic location a few minutes' walk from Gateway of India, making this a perfect choice for a short stopover in Mumbai. Felt safe staying here as female foreign travellers. Spacious and decently quiet rooms, given the location. Indian breakfast options were very nice (Western options available to order), as was the food in the harbour view restaurant in general.

Room was quite small with little cupboard space but this was more than made up for by the positives and I will continue to stay here when I am in Mumbai

My third visit to this very good and well located hotel. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Terrific sea view from room. Rooftop restaurant. One of the best showers I have come across anywhere in the world.

Hotel was initially hard to find due to it being part of 3 hotels in one building. Ours was on the top floor so once we had found it we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and decor.
