I originally booked this houseboat for 2D3N, but it was so wonderful that I had to extend my stay. The houseboat was lovely, clean, spacious, reasonably priced, and exquisitely furnished. Nazeer Bhai, the host, was incredibly kind, accommodating, and welcoming. He arranged for a trek to a lovely village, and we walked along a serene river. It was heavenly.

In winter, the temperature inside the boat gets cold. There is a heater in the living room and really really warm duvets to keep you warm. So didn't feel cold when sleeping. To get to the houseboat - You are dependent on getting a shikara from the town to the houseboat.

Great value for money - beautiful peaceful tranquil location. Great host, ready to listen, and help with any questions. His family offer food and a boat (shikara) ride around the lake. The bedroom and boat was beautiful. He also is a mountain guide if you want to go hiking/trekking in the mountains.

But Dinner food is so expensive in this place 3-4 chapathi with curry INR 325/-. Because we can't possibly go outside anytime, we are in a boat house. Rest of dinner price everything is so beautiful, hospitality, nice helping Nazir brother. Thankyou for your hospitality.

The location is so nice. Nazir gave the best hospitality. They provide a heat bed, it's a very useful winter temperature. Hot water. Nice breakfast (breads omelet).

I wish i could stay longer

I m dr smriti sr in department of pharmacology. Starting from booking he helped me how to come from airport with minimum spending and told me to get post paid sim. After that he was waiting for my welcome with his shikara. After that he served me delicious home made dinner. On saying he even prepared without onion breakfast especially for me. He was just a call away and guided me about location and as i was solo he kept on tracking my location by calling. He even helped me in drying my shoes by his table fan and kept moving them according to direction of sun and even provided detergent for cleaning them. He even provided electric blanket without even asking for it. Owner and his whole family is very cooperative. It was like travelling travelling daily on boat to road and vice versa.

Nazir was kind and helpful. He communicated with me before arriving and was there to meet me at ghat 7 when I arrived. He also gave me recommendations on what to see in Srinagar and provided free transfer to and from the houseboat. I recommend.

Naveed Bhai and shabir Bhai are both excellent at making you feel like home. You get 110% of what you pay. Don't hesitate, just book and enjoy your stay. Ambiance is good for what you pay. I booked for one day but I stayed for 3 days.

Excellent place. The houseboat is very quiet and peaceful. You get a free breakfast. Simple dinner is available if you tell them in advance. There is hot water in the mornings. The mattress is electrified and heated! Makes it very cosy. The owner Nazir is very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. He can help you with all your travel plans. There is a shikara to go to the shore and come back.

The houseboat was beautiful. The home cooked dinners, the Kahwa 🤌, the heaters that are available, the bathrooms. More than everything else, Mr. Nazir made me feel at home right from the beginning. Being a solo traveller, and my first time being in Kashmir, Mr. Nazir helped me with everything I needed in terms of stay, travel, suggestions, plans I can make. Any time I went out to explore Srinagar, there was a warm feeling in my heart knowing that I’d be returning to the place I’d made home. I would definitely recommend everyone to stay at Mr. Nazir’s boathouse. It has been a pleasure staying here and the conversations I’ve had with Mr. Nazir.
