How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

far from the center of leh
super friendly, helpful and flexible staff. the rooms are very clean, modern and spacious and even have a balcony! bathroom is also very clean and modern. great value for money, i highly recommend staying here!

Rooms were neat and clean staff will help you, they are heartfull and kind enough to help you on any issues , i would recommend this hostel .

A little bit far from center of leh, but only 10min by walking to take a bus
The owner is really nice and give a lot of infos on trrk and hiking. He has a lot of experience He is always available for you and helfull for everything Beds are really clean and comfortable Bathrooms too

Even it's not our business but we really want to see THE BOSS have more time to relax to take good care his future customers 💖.
The owner's an active, friendly and warmhearted person. He spent a lot of time to schedule our nubra trip with the good price. The driver and camp managers/staffs are very kind. He tried to take care all of us during our trip by texting everyday, especially when he was in the hospital and we couldn't call the driver. Another impresive thing to us is that he treats his staff well (do himself what he can do and help his staff to carry our very heavy luggages if they are busy - it's seldom seen in all hostels/hotels we stayed). Highly recommend 💖

One of the nicest staff I have ever encountered on my solo trips. The location is nice. The beds are very comfy and clean. The bathrooms are clean.

Unfortunately it's quite far from the main bazar but you can take a bus. However if you are coming by bike it might be nice to already be out of the main traffic.
Super friendly staff and very tasty food at the hostel. The hostel room was also very nice with new beds and lockers. Very good price for Leh.

The location isn't great. It can't be changed, but it isn't near to the main market and is in a residential and not very interesting location.
This hostel was really lovely - clean and with nice bedding and facilities. The hostel owner was so helpful and even woke up at 2:30am to make sure that I got my early morning taxi. It as so kind. I didn't try to food but many people were eating there and it seemed to be a jovial and welcoming environment.

It is far from the city. From the highway/bus stop this hostel is 1km by walk. And the last bus from the market was at 8 pm.
Spacious and clean. If you are looking for a peaceful place then here it is.

The hostel is great, but feels a little unfinished. It could be so much cosier with nicer chairs in the co-space. Also it’s a little cold inside, I found myself under the duvet a lot. The bathrooms rarely had soap or toilet roll and the floors always wet - people’s fault not the hostel. Also it would be great to have a sign on the door to remind other tourists to stay quiet between 11 and 7am. they were mostly disrespectful with noise in common rooms.
The owner is great as are all the staff. He speaks English really well as well as his native languages. Loads of sensible advice to make your trip in Ladakh more special on a budget. The bedrooms have great beds with modern clean styles and ample storage room to keep all your bags secure when not there. The area the hostel is located is a little far from the city itself, but you can take the bus from the main road to the city or the airport. Also there are a few geezers for hot water. Great selection of both adorable home cooked foods and dry foods with water. It’s got a very calm appeal - perfect stop from the airport to acclimatize.
