Was charged much more than expected for things like the tea that we were brought (I expected it to be complimentary or at least a reasonable price) and the room had no heating which would have been a nice perk. Wifi speed was also lacking so we had to use a hotspot in order to work from the room.

Great location and a very friendly host. Houseboat is well decorated and along with the home-style cooking it felt like I was staying in a home and not a hotel.

Located in the backside of Dal Lake, thus fewer tourist around and a lot less chaotic. Great hospitality, clean room, spotless wooden washroom with proper amenities & of course freshly homecooked food. Although there was and issue with the water heating due to lack of electricity but, it was definitely not the owner's fault. Whole Kashmir had the electricity issue due to heavy rain. The owner, Mr. Omar went out of his way and held my online booking without any advance despite the heavy rush of tourist. I am grateful. We had a peaceful stay as Mr Omar and his humble friends entertained us with some soothing live music. Hope to visit again.

The rooms were clean, well-maintained and spacious. The whole houseboat has a vintage feel along with modern amenities such as hot water, electrical points, wifi etc. Also, connectivity towards main city was via road.or via shikara which is added bonus in comparison to other houseboats

The houseboat is perfectly moored in a prime location on Dal Lake, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the shimmering water. Every morning, we woke up to the soft glow of the sunrise reflecting off the lake, and evenings were spent watching the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant colors as the sun set. The views alone are worth every penny. The houseboat itself is a masterpiece of traditional Kashmiri craftsmanship, adorned with intricate woodwork and elegant decor. The interiors blend classic charm with modern comforts, creating a cozy yet opulent environment. Each room is spacious and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploration. Equipped with all the modern amenities you could desire, the houseboat offers a seamless blend of comfort and convenience. From plush bedding to en-suite bathrooms and Wi-Fi, every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The communal areas are inviting, with comfortable seating and large windows that frame the stunning scenery outside. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, offering personalized service with a warm, friendly demeanor. Whether it was arranging a Shikara ride, providing local insights, or serving delicious Kashmiri cuisine, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. The culinary experience aboard the houseboat was a delight for the senses. We enjoyed a variety of traditional Kashmiri dishes, freshly prepared with local ingredients. Each meal was a feast, served with a side of spectacular lake views. Dining on the deck, under a starlit sky, was an experience we will cherish forever. Staying on Dal Lake offers a plethora of activities. We particularly enjoyed the Shikara rides, which provided a unique perspective of the lake and its floating gardens. Exploring the nearby Mughal gardens and the vibrant local markets added to the charm of our stay.

Everything is perfect

My recent stay on this resort in Dal Lake was an unforgettable experience. The serene beauty of the lake, coupled with the charm of the houseboat, made for a perfect getaway. The boat was well-maintained, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering all the comforts of a hotel with the added bonus of stunning views right from my window. The staff were exceptionally hospitable, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. Waking up to the tranquil waters and enjoying a peaceful shikara ride at sunset were highlights of my trip. We even booked our morning FLOATING MARKET TRIP which’s famous as Vegetable Market trip with the owner. That trip was breathtaking and wonderful. If you're looking for a unique and relaxing stay, I highly recommend booking a houseboat on Dal Lake.

Everything was good.

It was our second time to stay in this boat,we were enough lucky to get a room booked in this place at such a worthy price. The Houseboat is located at a perfect place in a beautiful Dal lake having a view of Koha Sulaymaniyah. The property inside is so well maintained,highly efficient walnut wood carvings,Antique Copper Utensils. Such a beautiful lobby and patio where we used to sit back and relax while reading books. Dining area is totally awesome where we used to relish our food on that huge walnut carved dining table. Food was tasty 😋 and we totally enjoyed it especially our supper which were Chicken Kababs,Ristas & Kashmiri Pulao. I would always prefer this boat to stay whenever I would be visiting Dal Lake in Srinagar.It’s more worthy for the price that we paid. Kudos to the staff and Owner of the Boat.

Please note, that you are stuck on a boat and need shikara to get to offshore - even a short 2 minute trip will cost you minimum 200 rupees each way. And it can take an hour to get your shikara to arrive - as you can only use one that boat has agreemenet with. There is a passway to the land from the boat - but you are not allowed to use it… Shower didnt seem to work. If you are planning to organise a day trip - you are better to use travel agent nearby.

The Houseboat is classy. It’s such a Great House Boat in Super Deluxe Category with a terrific and marvellous view of Famous Golden Lake and Zabarwan Hills. Rooms are totally awesome and designed in an amazing way with all the amenities present. Staff is great and welcoming. Food was totally delicious 😋 All services availed in the HOUSEBOAT were prompt. Wifi was fast. In this Harsh Winter 🥶 Our stay was mesmerised by the warm hospitality of Host himself. We had such a great and memorable stay, will definitely recommend our friends and relatives to stay in this Beautiful Resort.

Can't complain about anything.

The stay and the facilities are all luxurious, the food is homely, beautifully cooked and served, less spicy and easy to digest, with amazing taste. The care is like a family. My daughters were very comfortable and so was my wife. We just loved this place. Next stay in Srinagar is fixed to be here again.

Our stay here was truly an amazing experience! Every aspect exceeded our expectations – from the impeccable care provided in HOUSEBOAT to the delightful food. The positive vibes permeated the atmosphere, making it a memorable stay. A great house boat experience, it was our first time in Kashmir and we were made to feel very welcome. Hot tea plus the dinner and breakfast added in our package were very good too. Clean and tidy washrooms plus hot water 24/7. Very good and blankets plus the heating offered was really helpful at that chilly bone freezing Cold Environment. Great views of the Golden lake, away from the main road so quiet. Facilities in the room were as expected given the cost we had paid but we felt it was a very fair price. Host organised us a floating market tour and helped with taxis when needed. We would definitely recommend to stay here and hopefully we will return someday. Thank you so much for hosting us.

the room was smelly badly of old carpets switching with another room the breakfast was very poor, you had to choose between omlette ( wich wasn’t available) and pancakes- wich was served only one, tea or coffee The host wasn’t helpfull to find a taxi , after waiting for hours, he called an old local man with his private car with whom wanna split 50/50 for a long ride to take us in another town. In the end we refuesed it and he let us walk by foot , not willing to invite breakfast but just a old bread and chai Never coming back to people who don’t know that hospitality makes the whole experience of their guests , not the marketing
