Took 40 mins to check in. The hotel does not accept walk ins for some bizarre reason so we had to book thru app whilst at reception. It then took ages to actually complete

Right from the check-in to the check out the stay was perfect. Team ITC goes the extra mile to make you comfortable, at home and pamper at the same time. Special mention for Afsar, Riddhi, Somen, Satyaki. The technical team is super efficient and relentless in solving the issue. Food is great and the spread at ITC is unmatched. ITC is and will always be our first choice for celebration and staycation.

Reception is not professional. He deducted double amount in check in time. When I told him it’s double then canceled transaction so I need to wait for 2 weeks to get it back : (

I recently gifted a stay at ITC Sonar Bangla to my newly married brother, hoping to offer a memorable experience. Unfortunately, upon arrival, there was a disheartening mix-up as his reservation was not under his name, despite my pre-arrangements with the hotel to ensure a seamless check-in process. The challenge was further exacerbated by the difficulty in reaching the hotel via phone, with repeated unsuccessful attempts from both the UK and Kolkata. Regrettably, the interaction with Veronica from the Welcome Assistance team was marred by rudeness and lack of politeness, which added to the overall disappointment of the situation. However, a silver lining emerged in the form of Mohit from the accommodation team, who displayed a helpful and proactive attitude in attempting to rectify the reservation issue. While the initial experience was marred by miscommunication and unresponsive service, the positive efforts of Mohit in addressing the situation highlighted a glimmer of good service within the establishment. Moving forward, improved communication channels and consistent customer service standards may enhance the overall guest experience at ITC Sonar Bangla.

The front desk and concierge service can be improved.

It’s exquisite, classy and very well appointed. It’s pure understated luxury. The staff at the Grand Pavilion were great and Sneha surely deserves special mention for her heart warming hospitality and care.

Top Hotel with a very nice pool,all the staffs went above and beyond to make my stay comfortsble especially Habiba at the Reception, Amit with the luggages, partho house keeping and Gautam at the pool. i will definately be back when in Kolkata
