Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

It's a nice hostel to stay...located at the city centre..one can visit the fort and the famous lake walking...also the desert safari offered by them was quite better than others. Just try it once at least while visiting Jaisalmer.

New ZealandShowers were cold (hot water tank is disconnected), but I guess that’s the trade off, when you have such exceptional value for money. The hostel was really quite (maybe it was a bad time of year or that it was the middle of the desert?). They had awesome social areas, but surprisingly not many travellers to meet and hang out with. The doors to rooms are lockable from the outside. A drunk person with a lock could easily play a prank on you to lock you in, but more worrying is the fire hazard here (it’s illegal in most western countries).
Best value for money in my 1 month of travelling India. Staff were really nice and helpful. Social areas/rooftop lounge were great for relaxing

United KingdomIm trying to think of if something to write here but there was nothing that upset me.
I was warmly welcomed when I arrived. All the staff were lovely, polite, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and gave me space to sort things out. I stayed here a week longer than I had booked as it felt like a home from home with a new family and I particularly enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere of a smaller Indian town. The roof cafe was well set out with comfortable seating and plants, ideal for meeting friends and new guests as well as providing the breakfast time banana honey porridge. A TV was installed to watch World Cup cricket matches too. The Roof Top Cafe must have one of the best views of the fortress too. It was shady and draft free. On the other roof I also had my first yoga lessons here. My room was comfortable and had a fan and a decent shower. I also went on the Camel Safari where I watched a desert sunset and got a lift on a Camel to try out parasailing which for me was an amazing new experience. I liked sleeping under the stars in the desert. As a senior solo traveller I was pleased that the staff as well as other travellers were happy to engage with me. The staff told me that "Old is Gold"

United StatesBeds were rather hard, uncomfortable. I moved to hotel inside the fort, but that was my preference.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Close walk to the fort. Nice open rooftop sitting area/restaurant.

IndiaMy only complaint goes to female Indian travelers which checked in into my room at 6 am and didn’t care that I was in the room and trying to sleep. Talked loudly, switched on the lights etc until 9 am, no manners at all. It was a 4 beds room, which 3 beds were remaining, and they were 4 girls doing their circus.
Bed very comfortable and modern bathroom, room was cleaned as the property. Rooftop amazing. Price is so cheap compared to the quality of the property

UzbekistanA pipe in the toilet was leaking so the floor was constantly wet.
I liked the outdoor seating area and it was great to meet other travellers. Lovely view of the Fort. The Staff are very friendly and willing to help. Dorms are cheap but the desert safari isn’t 😅. Very close to the stations: bus and train. I had a midnight train to catch and they arranged for a drop to the station at a good cost.

SwitzerlandI had the pleasure of staying at Crowd Hostel in Jaisalmer during the Diwali festivities, and it was truly enjoyable. The hostel is run with a family-like atmosphere, providing a warm welcome. My single room was very clean, and the rooftop terrace was an absolute highlight. I highly recommend booking the desert tour directly through the hostel for a seamless experience. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!

GermanyEverything great!
We booked the hotel again because we liked it so much. The staff is incredible nice, they go over and beyond to fulfill your needs. We celebrated Diwali with a beautiful dinner together. It really was a special stay. The terrace is the perfect place to relax from the noise of the streets of India. Also amazing for solo Travellers, since you connect very beautifully with all the people by group activities and so on. Thank you for having us!

Well I don’t know where to start, this hostel is the best hostel while traveling trough India. It was such a peaceful, clean and amusing place. From the rooms to the terrace and staff, everything was perfect. The rooms were so beautiful with love to detail and the terrace overlooking the fort was so amazing (with really good internet to mention). The food and service was great and the activities like yoga or safari tours are wonderful. The whole staff, especially Meer is a great person and so nice to stay with. Definitely will come back!!!

The owners and the staff are so lovely, there is a very good vibe with them and the rest of the travellers. The common areas and the activities are so good to meet people, have fun and enjoy Jaisalmer in a good way. The room and toilet are so good too. Do not hesitate to book this place. Namaste.

Franceeverything was good :) only critique is above
Beautiful view from the rooftop, opportunity to meet fellow travelers, good breakfast, clean bright rooms, water not so clean but that’s just india, good wifi connection, helpful and friendly staff — they helped us get to the bus station very early in the morning and even drove us there with their own motorcycle. The staff is what makes this a wonderful place to stay at! I have no complaints with the hotel at all. Desert safari was good overall, I liked the dancing and dinner. Although if theres one little thing I would critique on is I didn’t like how children were leading and treating the camels, it was in line with their young age, so they were rough (which made my camel move roughly and was uncomfortable), immature, and *mean* playful with the camels. It didn’t ruin the overall experience though it’s something I think the hotel should consider :)
