Where to begin?!This hostel /homestay is so warm and welcoming!! Sitting Kashmiry style in the common area right next to the kitchen waiting for and enjoying warm and delicious meals ...easy flowing conversation or movie(s) night!!!I have stayed in countless hostels but I just love the vibe of this place!I! I chose it because it was close to the airport planned to just stay for 1 night and find something by the lake but no way!!!Much better to stay here in peace and quiet and walk to dal lake when you want!Dorm beds very well organized!Could go on but I will stop here...oh and they rent motorcycles!!!Good hot water!

Very good stay. Facilities are one of the best you can find in Srinagar. I had a better experience than Zostel over here. The staff were also very friendly. The owner was also quite helpful. You had hot water 24*7 in the washrooms duing the winter, which is a big plus. One thing they can improve is to mention the check-out rules and timings while checking in. Otherwise, you're at short notice regarding the check-out.

Clean and well facilitated place with very friendly host. Its close to the airport and is pretty peaceful. There’s a garden area where I could do bonfire and play music. Theres a very cute cat too which for me was a pleasant plus✨

Easy. Arriving back from our trek Not sick : - ) I would have much more loved coming and going, exploring Srinagar from the Homestay those 4 days, instead of recovering. John however made the best out of it for me anyway, and I greatly appreciate it.

Excellent hosts! While motorcycle trekking I became sick one day before returning and when I arrived was bed ridden for 4 days. I could not have asked for better caregivers than those at John's Homestay.

The location is not in the city center, but by a toktok, you can get to the city center and Dal lake easily!

The breakfast was like most of hotel, toast and omelet but taste nice, and they also served hot tea, it will warm your body in the cold season. I was lived in a sharing room, and Kashmir have the policy of power cut, but the hotel people will give you enough quilt in case you get cold, the bed was very clean, people have no need to worried about hygiene issues here!

The food here is very good and very tasty, and there is an uncle and an aunt who took care of me so much that I felt like I was in my family. Here you can add your family or single if you want. And 5 further walk from here you can get sharing or full taxi to go anywhere.

Everything was absolutely amazing regarding the stay, be it food, hospitality, or furnishing. We are definitely planning to come back here in June. You wouldn’t feel you left your home because of the astonishing hospitality. This could be one of the best stays if you’re planning to stay for long.

I really enjoyed my stay and would have spent time in the yard common area if the weather had been warmer when I was there.

It was very clean and well maintained. Beds in the dorm are big and with electrical blankets for heating which makes it more comfortable. Washroom is clean and hot water available 24/7. Host is very knowledgeable and friendly and provides motorcycle for rent with riding equipment.

Great value accommodation, this homestay is an oasis of calm with a garden where you can relax and meet fellow travellers away from the hustle and bustle of Srinagar's crowded town centre. Ali is a very accommodating, friendly host full of good advice and help. They also offer breakfast, meals, tea and coffee. Definitely recommended.

Home cooked food.

The host Ali was very friendly and he helped me to get my SIM card and few insights about the city and people , he has bike rentals also from Himalayan, classic and Scooty everything. It was a work trip for me so i didn’t got much time to explore Srinagar. I think in winters the property is valve for money and even in off season it’s quite pocket friendly bcoz it’s hard to find bunk beds in Srinagar. Thank you for hosting me. Best of luck for future.
