How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is a nice place to stay if you are travelling to Puri. Beautiful ambience, well maintained rooms, all necessary items, availability food and self transportation, very close to the Temple at walkable distance, To sea beach, you can also walk or take an auto. The property owner Aakash bro and his family are very friendly and they make sure you enjoy your stay. You will love to re-book whenever you plan for Puri and recommend others.

If anyone looking for book a room near Shri jagannath temple i recommend that book this place but beach is more than 1.2 km away so if someone want to sot realx and swim in the sea whole day then look other options. For family group i recommend jharna guest house.

Best budget place to stay. Host was courteous and warm. Food was homemade and delicious with nominal price. It's walkable from Jagannath temple and beach. The hosts provide bike for rent and it's an added advantage. Didi was always there around to help us :) overall we had a good experience. Cons: The roads leading to the homestay is narrow and some autos might deny to help you reach there.

Very good Service, Room was large and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and Locations is also good for getting to all the tourist spots. Would definitely stay here next time we are in Rome! Definitely come again to this place

The location of jharara guest house is perfect for those looking to explore Puri. It is conveniently situated near the beach, which is just a short walk away. The famous Jagannath Temple and other attractions are also easily accessible from the property. The serene surroundings and peaceful atmosphere added to the overall charm of the place.

recently stayed at this guest house and had a wonderful experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. One thing I particularly enjoyed about this guest house was the location. It was situated in a quiet residential area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still within easy reach of all the main attractions. I loved being able to relax in a peaceful setting after a busy day of sightseeing. Temple and beach both are at walking distance. Special thanks to owner Akash please do visit and stay in this property.

The stay was pretty good for the price considering the location and the time of the year. The highlight of the stay are the owners who are proactive and put effort in making you feel at home. Food was amazing since it was home cooked and was tasty as well. Aloo paratha was my favourite for breakfast. They let us stay for 2-3 more hours after checkout too without any issues. The room was pretty spacious with a balcony and bathroom attached as well

Awesome place for family stay.near temple and Beach I booked ac room with kitchen. Amazing experience. Property run by family. You will definately feel like home. And owner akash dada is very humble and ready to help you every time. They only give rooms to family only. Definately yes for stay. Safe and calm place.

Awsome homestay it is.. jagannath mandir is close by (5 mins walkable). Sea beach too is close by(9mins walkable). U don't have to worry about what to eat cz u can go out and tell mrs. Aakash (wife to jharara) what u have to have in dinner /lunch/breakfast and yeah she will have it made for u when u return. The only cons is that if u want to go to the Golden beach that's a sponsored beach area by a hotel,, u can have travel by auto(4km) n the autos charge pretty high.
