Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JordanThe breakfast was rather poor, quite limited and the water for tea and coffee wasn’t hot. Also there was no wifi in our room.
Beautifully decorated hotel, the room was quite small but comfortable and the bed had a lovely Jaipur quilt. The bathroom was very spacious and clean, the location was great and the staff were lovely and extremely helpful.

United KingdomBreakfast was a slight let down. Old bananas, stale cake. But the traditional food was fine and the omelettes were fresh, hot and tasty. Would have liked better juices. I want to finish on a positive note though, because this was a place where all the workers (of different nationalities and abilities) were valued.
Staff were great, including porters, reception, waiters and chefs/cooks. The rooftop restaurant served very good food, in nice atmosphere with fantastic views over the town. And made excellent cocktails! Our bedroom had a large comfortable bed, nice bed linens - the fan and air conditioning worked well. A quiet sleep. The bathroom was a generous size and the toiletries supplied were very handy! Staff helpful in finding tuktuks, and always greeted us with friendly smiles.

ItalyEverything was great, some other reviews complained about noise from the street, I never heard anything, also you know the street is busy so it will be a bit noisy, but this is part of the experience if you ask me!.
Lovely hotel, just off a busy market street!. My room was really big and very clean and in a quiet part of the hotel. Staff were very nice and gave lots of advice. Nice breakfast each morning with very attentive staff. I met the owner and she is lovely. In a great area too!. Also has a bar on the first floor, lots of TVs to watch the cricket. Recommend you stay here.

GermanyThe only thing was the very loud AC in the room. We needed to turn it off during the night. And we didn't have a balcony although it's stated in the description of the room.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very nice and helpful. Really nice terrace and good choice of breakfast. Quiet during the night.

United KingdomSonnu was a bit over bearing and very keen for you to sign up to his trips. We went on one which was great to be fair, a trip to the Amber Palace. However when I asked another member of staff if you could book a rickshaw for an early morning dash to the railway, he said no problem he would talk to his manager ( Sonnu) and it would be 200 Rs, I knew the fare should be 100 Rs and thought we’ll it was quite early so ok. However when I bumped into Sonnu later he told me it would be 300 Rs. I told him to forget it and next morning another member of staff went and flagged one down for me and the cost.. 100 Rs
The room was lovely and bright, nice bathroom and seating area outside the room. Most of the staff were lovely and the roof top restaurant was great

AustraliaNoise from room above - lots of scraping, including during the night, of what sounded like heavy furniture being moved; Noisy and temperamental air con (too noisy to run at Night; No hanging space for clothes. Paid (3000 rupees each) to attend a Holi party, but after waiting 1 hour past our planned departure time with no information as to when driver would show up, we abandoned the party idea and went off on our own for the day. No refund or partial refund offerered. Poor service at onsite rooftop bar and restaurant - waited 45min for food that never came (restaurant management apologised in response to Trip Advisor review).
Great communication in advance with regards to airport pick up and booked day trips, which both worked out well. Friendly and welcoming front of house staff. Spacious room with comfy beds and a large bathroom with good shower and a pleasant semi private terrace. Housekeeping available (on request). Nice view of city and nearby fort from roof terrace. Very reasonable price. Great location. Wifi was fine. Breakfast was included - reasonable variety of western and local food. We enjoyed the lively market style streets in the neighbourhood, and didn't feel unsafe anywhere.

CanadaWe really have no criticisms of the hotel. We got and email a few days before arriving saying we had to pay a deposit in advance, which frightened as as we didn't know how to do that, but when I phoned the manager said it was an automatic email not applicable to us and to ignore it.
The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was beautiful and clean. The rooftop restaurant had good food and a lovely view. The breakfast, 8-10am, was good. We were introduced (no pressure, just an offer) to a day trip to the Amber Fort and other places outside Jaipur to the north, for = 3000 (not including tickets) which we decided to take and we found really good and the driver friendly and helpful.

IndiaWe were not able to operate the fan regulator as the cap was missing. We reported but it was not fixed. However, since it was not peak summer, and AC was functioning, it was not an issue.
The best part about the property is the location, centrally located, most of the major attractions are close by. I loved the breakfast. The rooms were neat, the staff were courteous. Overall, the stay is worth the money.

SpainI found some of the furniture to be a bit dated, which could use an update. First time you arrive you think is gonna be noisy and dangerous because it’s in the middle of the bazar surrounded by old buildings but later you realize is quite and cozy.
Our stay at this hotel was quite pleasant overall. The breakfast was delightful, offering a good variety of options. The staff provided excellent service, and the highlight was the restaurant with its stunning views, perfect for all meals. Additionally, the prices were reasonable. I would recommend this hotel for its great dining experience and attentive service.

SwitzerlandWe didn't like that we didn't feel safe to just walk out as it's on a bazaar street. We also didn't like that we had such a short stay, but that's not really a problem... :)
We enjoyed the location as it is relatively close to everything and quiet (building is inside a type of courtyard). The staff was very helpful as we were looking for specific things and even though we had an early checkout at 7:00 AM they made a breakfast bag for us to take on our travels, which was greatly appreciated. We also found the building itself beautiful and well-kept. The rooms are clean, and everything worked. The restaurant at the top offers a great view and good food. We would suggest reserving a table as it seems quite popular...

United KingdomOur 3rd floor outside terrace/balcony was shared with both other guests, and staff who at times were noisy and sometimes used it to dry their personal washing on chairs right outside our room. This detracted from the general feel of a relaxing terrace! Given the big room there was nowhere to put our clothes so we used the extra single bed. The very heritage rooms are well lit but have no view as the windows are attractive coloured glass. One of our windows faced a wall the other the shared balcony/terrace. The view from the second floor terrace is very disappointing and while the 3rd floor is better it is not great. From the third floor the balcony / terrace outlook is one overlooking other immediate roofs, buildings and some nearby ground with some trees.
Great room which was spacious and the bed comfortable. It can be hard to find for your driver but has immediate access to the bazaar street. While centrally located Jaipur is a big city and you'll probably go by Tuk Tuk. Though, obviously there is an extensive bazaar on your door step and it is pure Jaipur. There is surprisingly little noise from the busy street. Though we had some noise from the floor above like furniture being moved or like chairs scraped as moved back from a table. The top floor resturants has a great view and we ate there once which was very good. Breakfast is served in a separate very pleasant blue room. The manager is very helpful ( highly recommend he arrange your Tuk Tuk day hires) and all the staff are nice. Breakfast is fine and can be plentiful. They do eggs on demand, as with toast. Cereal and a small but adequate Indian buffet can make a small or huge breakfast.
