Balcony was a little dusty, and we had a different room than the one we booked but it was still lovely.

Extremely comfortable stay in this beautiful haveli, we could sit on a balcony and watch the lake activity which was very peaceful. We had a very large bathroom with a bath and shower too. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and they let us order extra food which was great

Make sure you have the room you booked online. We first were given a partial view room instead of the lake view suite we initially booked.

Beautiful room (lake view suite) with an incredible view on the lake palace!! We had one of the most memorable sunset ever. Very quiet and peaceful haveli.

The mattresses were a bit hard. Using the doona under the bottom sheet helped.

The location was perfect, right on the lake and close to all sights. Good breakfast, very pleasant and helpful staff. A birthday cake was extra special!

Nothing really. Except that the beds were a little bit hard for our taste but nothing really problematic.

The view was breathtaking from the room and the rooftop. Excellent architecture and very kind and helpful staff. They organised perfectly our one-day excursion. The food also at the restaurant was very food! We definitely recommend this hotel!!

Won;t get wifi in the rooms as the walls are thick, They can install boosters. No room service and no TV (but this is not a deal breaker).

Location is good. Walking distance to local tourists attraction and shopping street but the highlight of the property is its amazing view from the terrace. You can see Taj Lake Palace, Jag Mandir. Sunset is beautiful from the up there.

This was my favourite hotel of a 2 week trip in India spanning various locations. The images are true to the experience of staying. The greeting was warm on arrival. It felt like a good base. Our room was heritage rustic vibe with a great view of the water.

The bed was very uncomfortable, the hot water was sporadic and not good water pressure either. It also felt like things were done in the cheap e.g. no toilet roll in the restaurant toilet. One of our most expensive hotels on our trip and the worst one.

Hard to fault, especially at the price.

The flavour and feeling from the moment we walked in the gates. The location was magic and sting in the Havelli a great experience. Breakfast on the roof each morning was a welcome and well organised inclusion.

Rooms and bathroom could have been cleaner at this price. There was noticeable dust and smell in the rooms (had to change one room due to very bad odour), otherwise comfortable stay.

Location is lakefront and near to touristy places in old town by walking distance. View from the property (specially rooftop) is very good. Staff was nice and helpful.

Clean, spacious room. More like an apartment with a lakeside view that was breathtaking. Loved the rooftop view and food and found the staff helpful, professional and particularly ethical with visiting tailors etc in terms of ensuring our personal safety.

They have a house rule about NOT bringing outside food. Since they serve only veg food ,guests should not be deprived of non veg food which they would relish in their rooms.

Kankarwa Haveli can be called value for money.

Beautiful view from the roof-top on to lake Pichola. Quite place as it is at the end of a dead-end road.

The windows were so dirty we could hardly see out, hence the low mark for cleanliness. The facilities in the room are basic and there are annoying rules about drinking in the room (why provide a kettle but nothing else?). We waited a day for a heater to be provided. There is some noise from nearby restaurants but dies down late evening.

The location, especially the view out over the lake from our room and the roof terrace and the sunset. It is also right in the centre of town within easy walking distance of the City Palace and Bagore ki haveli. The rooms are well restored. The public areas are extensive and enlivened by many potplants. The food is good but not special. Staff are friendly but sometimes slow to act. The restaurant staff were the most helpful. We will certainly stay here if/when we return to Udaipur.

Perfect location! Hidden a bit away from the main chaotic street but right on the lake. Staff were super kind and helpful throughout. The view was amazing, so incredible to wake up to! The dinner as well was super tasty and very well priced (we had the thali). We also booked two excursions and they went so smoothly, such a great experience. Would highly recommend for couples, such a romantic place!

Mattresses were very hard and climbing stairs to the upper rooms was not easy for less abled people. Also, vehicles (cars) cant get to the hotel due too the narrow lanes so rikshaw is needed which is tricky if you have lots of luggage

Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the disappointing food and breakfast. Additionally, the hotel's location in the old town gives the property its charm but taxis can’t reach it, causing inconvenience with luggage. The absence of a phone in the room meant I had to climb down three floors for any requests, and the lack of room service added to the overall inconvenience.

Booked a suite and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful and charming old haveli. The picturesque view of the lake and the delightful sunset made it a truly memorable experience.
