I couldn’t imagine myself not staying at this place on my next visit to udaipur. The location, the core team, the views were the best you can get it on lake pichola. The sunrise tour was just exceptional. Cheers to Ashish sir Vineet and the team for providing a memorable trip.

It's been my second time and I cannot imagine staying somewhere else. The hostel is perfectly located, on Lal Ghat, and extremely comfortable: you will feel like home. The people, unparalleled kindness and the amazing vibes from the staff truly set this place apart. (Sunset on the rooftop in the evening and the moto tour at sunrise in the hills surrounding the city are game changers of a visit in Udaipur)

Arrived here for Holi. Very helpful staff at reception explaining the day and also the hostel events too. Food was reasonable, and drinks too. Very good Holi organisations, which made a big difference. It is a hostel so quite basic, but it was fine for our purposes.

The staff is very helpful and kind... They organise different tours and experiences... And also help us in planning out our itinerary... The location is perfect as its just 5 mins from the city palace and also at the lake... U can enjoy sunsets everyday from the roof top cafe... Best hostel ever

Undoubtedly the best hostel to stay in Udaipur. The place is only 200m from city palace. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. they have a lot of games in the common room which is very cozy and has a lake view too. Rooftop cafe serves amazing food and nothing beats the sunset from the rooftop. From sunrise tours, to karaoke nights, to movie nights, this place has it all. Also extended my stay to celebrate Holi here and had a great deal of fun. 100 % recommended.

You are not allowed eat your own food in the terrace because the hostel cafe is there. Prices were slightly too high so we didnt try the food.

- The room we booked offered a lake view and although this was technically true, to enjoy it you did have to stand in the corner of the room. - The bathroom was generally a lower quality than the rest of the room/hostel. It was quite small, awkward and strangely set up. - The bed and pillows were quite hard.

- Staff were excellent and very friendly. Particular shout outs for Dwisha at front desk who was always lovely, warm, chatty, and quick with recommendations and Aman who was a super laid back, friendly, great activity host and able to sort out a restaurant booking for us where we had failed! - Amazing rooftop for a beautiful sunset view. Happy hour (3 for 2 on beers, 6.30-8pm) and free chai at sunset. -Sunrise scooter tour arranged by the hostel was also excellent (they take you to a secluded hilltop for great sunrise views then an amazing view of Lake Badi, and breakfast!) and great value for money. Highlight of our Udaipur stay.

Nothing not to like, just a suggestion would be to create a WhatsApp group for anyone who stays to make it a little simpler to organise day trips out to kumbalgarh etc. they have information boards but easier to connect with other through a group they can join and leave if they like

We had booked a room which was reasonably sized except it did not have any view, but the rooftop seating more than make up for that.

Location. Location. Location. You cannot find a better deal at this price-point for this location. The hostel is most centrally located, just the lane behind City Palace and Jagdish Temple. Other major attractions like Gangur Ghat, Bagaur ki Haveli etc. are also 5 minutes walk from here. The hostel has restaurant seating at two levels on its terrace which offers most amazing view of lake pichhola, the city and the Lake Palace. The food and drinks served was good. The vibe of the hostel is young, casual, friendly and guests freely interact with each other. The staff is friendly and warm. I wish to particularly mention the very chirpy, talkative and young lady at the reception - Dwisha who brought such wonderful vibe to the whole place. Always ready to chit-chat and offer friendly guidance. All in all, we were more than happy with the stay.

This is a great place to stay at Udaipur ! Amazing location right next to the lake…. Fallen in love with the sunsets from Mantra Roof top with complimentary chai… Reasonable tariff & great Hospitality from the entire Mantra team Ashish, Bhushan, Vinit, Dwisha & Aman. The rooms are spacious and super clean. All basic facilities are taken care off. Huge common area, good for workation. The wifi works best there. Lots of activities they organise. Don’t miss the Karaoke thursdays with them and movie nights on Sunday were my favourite. The sunrise tour was the highlight of the trip. A must do with Mantra. Met so many travellers and made lifelong friends over here. All and all it was a memorable trip, I literally kicked myself out from here. Lol. Thanks for all the lovely memories Mantra. You rock. Will be back soon. ❤️

The stairs would be hard to use for people with mobility issues.

The hostel is very well located for tourism in Udaipur. The staff was super nice and offered great activities to the guests for a good price. My 6-beds room was bigger than expected, with comfortable private beds and good bathroom. They allowed me to use the common areas (nice lounge and good sized bathroom) when I arrived very early in the morning. They have a good rooftop restaurant.
