Had a fantastic time here with my friend Isha. We stayed here for 2 nights and the place is nice and comfortable. Also the guys running this place really get an 11 out of 10 for hospitality. They went out of their way to make our stay as nice as possible. Also getting the shikara with Sahil to the floating market and on the lake was a lot of fun, he is a lovely person! Do keep in mind though that sometimes the electricity cuts and in the autumn the temperatures get cold on the houseboat!

I had a single room who was the front room so anyone talking in the sitting area,I can easy hear them,so quite noisy room,I asked to move to rear room,to be far from the noise,they promiss me to move next day,but they got a reservation so they didn't move me,that's upset me a lot,so avoid to stay inbthe front room which is very close to sitting area.

Staff are very helpful specially omar,very nice gentleman, whatever you ask him he will do it for you,Mr altaf the owner is a very nice gentleman we had some very nice conversation together,his son adel also very nice and helpful gentleman always bring me with the shikara to and from the mean road,you can use their shikara twice daily free of charge,they arrange good breakfast and dinner for me.

The sounds isolation was terrible, we could hear everything in the other rooms.

Lovely staff, very helpful, didn't even charge us for the shikaras to and from the docks. The food was delicious, the staff was also very knowledgeable in the local areas to go to.

Location is in the backside. Its face is towards floating market , The alignment is obstructing the sunrise view. No arrangement for shed at outside sitting area to enjoy the rain at dal lake. Water used in bathroom having bad smell.

Internal decoration is ver good. Dinner was good. but breakfast was not upto the mark. Staffs are well behaved and cooperative

There was nothing that I did not like, everything was just perfect and was well suited to my budget. Everything was satisfactory and the weather was perfect too making the experience a memorable one. I'd like to thank them for that.

EVERYTHING. The location of the houseboat, the friendly demeanour of the staff, the weather and the food, the rooms, the cleanliness and of course, their hospitality. They made me feel welcome and at home. The food tasted as if it was made right at home. There wasn't a moment that I enjoyed. The calm waters, the beautiful shikharas that pass by from in front of the houseboat, the extraordinary view from the sitting area in front and of course the amazing sunrise/sets were the icing on the cake for me. The ghats were only a 3-4 minute ride away from the houseboat. And this was just perfect for me. You should definitely give this a try!

Absolutely nothing

My wife ans I stayed at the property for 4 nights. We were very impressed by the rooms, great value for money and spotless, clean bathrooms (comparable to a very good hotel in the cities). Beds were very comfortable. Hot water is also available whenever you need. Juice and water provided in rooms as well as complimentary & delicious Kehwa (Kashmiri tea) on check-in. The houseboat has a beautiful deck with clear views of sunset across the lake and close to the floating market as well. The houseboat can be reached by quick 5 min Shikhara from Ghat 12 which the houseboat will organise for you. SPECIAL mention to Omar who took care of all our needs during our stay. The most kind and hospitable host I've met. Organising the home-cooked dinner, kashmiri tea whenever you like, visit to the vegetable floating market at sunrise and then visiting the other attractions on the lake at sunset. He even organised the rickshaw to take us around Srinagar to see the sights. When my wife felt ill on the last day, Omar even made us dinner as per our request which is highly appreciated. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a houseboat stay in Srinagar. A peaceful stay on the Dal lake with great hospitality.

Good rooms Great staff Dinner was also good They have a chain of house boats, the one we got was Royal Athena. So, after booking you can call and check which one you are going to get.
