Since it is in the heart of the city, roads are narrow. Cars cannot enter the area. Even the autorikshaw refused to drop us in the peak evening hours.

Though the property says you can pay by credit card it was a herculean task to get it done. You need to pay a 50% advance and they don't send a link nor charge the card you provide. They prefer cash or Google pay which was very inconvenient. Luckily the manager Mr. Bhaskar allowed me to pay the 50% by cheque deposit from Bombay. The bed mattress was extra soft that I ended up spraining my back and had to sleep on the floor during my stay. Please get cash as no one in and around the hotel accepts card and it can be a big issue. The restaurant above the hotel is overpriced and not linked to the hotel and they don't allow Bills to be added to the room. You can only pay by cash or Google pay. Don't take the breakfast package as it is a rip off if you are traveling solo. Just go to the restaurant directly and order. My breakfast order came to just ₹150/-. Also do not order lunch and dinner here they do not know how to cook and their service is bad. Rather eat outside at the many local stalls. Value for money but cash only. The hotel is not senior citizen friendly and too many steps. If you can't climb please ask for a lower floor. There is 1 lift but I wouldn't count on it. They do not provide toiletries. My telephone didn't work and I had to go down 3 floors each time to ask for assistance.

Definitely try the cheese tomato omelette at the restaurant above the hotel. Great views of the city and lake palace plus the lake and other monuments. The hotel is fantastically located in the old quarters and the staff especially MITHALAL is super friendly (and very cute) he goes out of his way to help you if he can. His English is non existent but it makes up for it with his nature. He was kind enough to daily fill my bottle with filtered (aro) water which was a great help. The hotel is just a 2 min walking distance to the major sites including jagdish temple(go for the 7pm evening ceremony/arti) and the totally avoidable city palace. Rather please make a trip to bagore ki haveli museum and the next door Gangor ghat. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is in a safe location and I'd definitely encourage single travelers to come here. Room is cleaned only on request which was a privacy bonus. I also appreciate the promt service of the reception staff to arrange for a card machine specially for me as otherwise I would have to call home and deposit a cheque in their account which would have been embarrassing. Please carry excess cash for such emergencies. But the staff were very kind and helpful.

1. Food is served veg with nog veg and wine or beer allowed but not mentioned anywhere. We reached late and thought of dinner but we had to stay aways and hungry because they don't allow out side while we can not eat non veg. 2. Little more space to wander is needed.

I didn't enjoy my stay. Rooms were in poor conditions. Not clean also. Maintenance is big issue. Not recommended at all

This hotel room was very very dirty. May be not clean from last ten years. Bed lenin was clean but room was full of dust. I was caughing for half an hour aftrr entering the room. Finally we asked for a cloth and we cleaned phone, side table, tv, tea table etc on our own. I am posting photo of the cloth. Doormat, curtains are not washed for many years. It's risky to stay in such hotels.
