Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaNothing not to like.
Everything awesome, the owners are a lovely couple that is very friendly and hands on. The rooms are spotless, large, with a beautiful bathroom and many thought through details for a great stay. Their home made soaps have a fantastic scent. The garden is beautiful, with a good size pool and river views.

United KingdomNothing could have been better!
Lhasa Ayurveda & Wellness Resort was a haven of tranquility after being in the busy towns and cities of India. The lovely couple who run the retreat were extremely welcoming whilst giving space to just be! The surroundings were beautiful, the rooms were simple but very comfortable and the toiletries were pure and smelled delicious!

United KingdomNothing!
It was the most welcoming and warm place I could imagine! The owners take such care and attention for all of their guests and I truly felt like they wanted to do as much as possible for my stay. I was unwell on one of the days unfortunately and they looked after me like family! It really helped knowing there were people around me to help and they did everything they could. The sunset kayak was amazing!

United StatesMy children wanted more yoga and activities, the yoga instructor was on holiday. My biggest problem was the communications with them through booking.com. I feel there is confusion somewhere in management where the booking messages are only scantly checked. I was working with booking.com on 2 occasions to cancel my nonrefundabe reservations due to unresponsiveness. My routine questions weren't being answered, five questions in a row, for example, would go unanswered and then I would receive a simple response to part of one my numerous questions. It was very frustrating. Booking.com even tried to call the property for me on two occasions but never got a response. We weren't sure, as we arrived at midnight in their rural location, if the property was even real or that someone would be there. It was a bit unnerving. Ultimately, using the corporate phone number we had from their website, they guided our grumpy airport taxi driver to the property, the large gate openned and quiet sweet property staff guided us to our room. It worked out. As we chatted to other guests, they had similar booking experiences. The property is so wonderful and staff so kind, they just need to sort out pre-stay communications.
The owners were very sweet and very involved in connecting, socializing and help us during our short stay. All the staff, including the receptionist, massage therapists, kitchen and grounds maintenance staff were so kind and professional. The property was beautiful. Our room was very big with comfortable beds and very clean, modern bathroom. They gave us this room because my son is disabled and we had room to help him. The pool was small, but lovely, had a beautiful view of the river and a butterfly garden nearby. The property is home to beautiful cinnamon, hazelnut and star fruit trees. They don't use any pesticides or chemicals on their plants and trees so as not to hurt the butterflies, green parrots, bats and other natural visitors. I enjoyed kayaking on the river, with the help of staff to help me get in and out. We ate all our meals on the property. Breakfast is included but the lunch and suppers, all vegetarian, were very reasonably priced and delicious. We visited the owner's soap factory, Holy Lama Naturals, and then bought soap, conditioner, etc at their small store nearby. It was a nice, informative tour and they really accommodated my handicapped son. They even made him a special perfume and let us name it. Very sweet. I would definitely recommend this property for those who want massages and relaxation.

What made our stay even more special are the owners and the staff - everyone is just great! Also had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both were really delicious. Thanks for some great time!

Lhasa is owned and run by a lovely couple that also has their own natural cosmetics company near by. The madam is preparing ourstanding vegetarian dishes, makes the best dosa and chapati. We had also yoga on request and the massages are really relaxing, we slept like babies for 4 days while staying at Lhasa. Would recommend you to stay there.

RussiaNothing negative because it's a true paradise. Please keep in mind - this is a place for your body, soul and mind. If you want to party, shop, etc., you'll have to look elsewhere.
Dear friends, I have been traveling the world for over 25 years and honestly, this is the best place I have ever been. The founders of the resort are some of the kindest and most positive people I've met, taking care of every detail of our staying there. As Mr. Vijay (Founder) and Mrs. Vijaya ("his boss") said: this is not our business, this is our passion. It's true: they live there with all their heart, and the resort lives with them. If you want to open your heart/soul and get a lot of positive emotions/energy, feel free to book a room in Lhasa. We fell in love with this place, we love these people and will forever keep their care/love/energy in our hearts. P.S. Be sure to ask them to show you their own cosmetics factory. P.P.S It's a vegetarian place!

AustraliaLhasa is a little off the beaten track (i personally loved this), you will need to catch a taxi if you would like to shop or eat at other restaurants, however, the staff are very accommodating and are more than happy to organise or recommend any outing you would like.
Everything. The owners are very welcoming. Staff are personable and attentive. Vegetarian food is delicious 😋. Treatments are the best i have experienced. If you are looking for a peaceful boutique spa/resort experience to balance out the intensity of Indian, I highly recommend Lhasa.

The rooms are new and spatious, the food is delicious, the garden is lovely and we had a romantic kayaking on the river just the two of us, full of lush green, palm trees and clear water. The hosts are kind and happy to help for any special needs, the ayurveda treatment was also an exceptional experience. We are looking forward to coming back.

IndiaIf you want to get away from typical business /resort hotel and want something refreshingly different and boutique Lhasa Ayurveda and Wellness resort is the place to be. Located in a very quiet and natural surrounding. You only hear the birds chirping and the flow of the water. Get an Ayurvedic treatment done spend your time sitting and observing the beautiful nature. Nutritious Homely cooked food and very coordially hosts. You are made to feel at home even before you arrive and yes they say " Don't feel at home , feel at Lhasa"but it feels more than home. Do try the local fruits they grow in their bouqtiue property. Perfect place to relax for a solo traveller or a family

United StatesI think there could be more breakfast options and at this pricepoint I would include breakfast. Staff doesn't speak much English but were very helpful.
This hotel is a little slice of heaven in easy driving distance of Lulu Mall and the Cochin Airport. The hotel is on a river and provides kayaks free of charge to guests. In my less than 48 hours at the hotel I was out on the water three times-both early morning and at sunset. It is paradise if you love nature and birds. After kayaking I jumped into the small, warm and very beautiful pool that overlooks the river. The hotel is so peaceful it is hard to describe but my favorite part of staying there was meeting the owners Vijay and Vijaya. I wish they would write their memoirs-I could not get enough of hearing about them! I am especially grateful to Vijay for taking the time to give me a tour of Holy Llama Natural factory where he makes natural and wonderful cosmetics (they are in your hotel room too!). He is brilliant and fascinating and lovely and his wife is a sweetheart. In this sense it feels like a cross between a homestay and a hotel.

United KingdomNo where to go as in the middle of a residential area. No option to eat anywhere else other than hotel. The massage rooms are not very relaxing being next to the kitchen with its smells and noises, and people talking loudly outside whilst I was laid naked. Pool small which was adequate when only a handful of guests.
Very safe due to locked gates, overlooking the river

NetherlandsThe beds were awfully hard, where I could feel the springs almost entering my body. The manager was non responsive to requests, we had to ask multiple times to have our room cleaned, she forgot to pass that on to the staff. It is not an Ayurvedic wellness resort, there was no yoga, the massages were not of a very high quality. The food is not to a standard that you might expect from a hotel, more of home cooking quality, much the same every day, not much choice. It feels like the place is starting up without proper idea on how to run a hotel.
Lovely location next to the river, very friendly owner and staff.
