How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Please pay attention to the sewage of the bathroom don't get clogged
Stay and breakfast was homely. I would suggest one must come and experience this comfy place.

As informed, we checked in around 8.30pm. Paid full payment and was given a room at first floor. However, we were given a room with 2 single beds as our initial booking was a one big bed for 2 pax. We were not informed of this at all prior or during check in and when questioned to our staff who guided us to the room with our luggage’s mentioned to check with the reception via the landline in room and informed they are fully booked which did not make sense. we went directly to the receptionist. And he did not respond to us, made changes as per our initial booking and passed the room card to the staff. 3rd night we went for a movie and was back almost 2am and the main gate was locked, security was sleeping till we need call out multiple times and no one at the reception, it was all dark & empty.
The room and overall experience was as per our expectation. As well as the location.

I got no complain! They are exceptional!!
A perfectly situated hotel for those who want to be away from the crowded place yet close to shopping. The staff are exceptional. Mr.Akhil ( Hope I spelt his correctly) who we dealt with was very accomodating. Sound proof of the room to keep you away from honking sound was really good. Breakfast choices are variety. Their sambhar, chutney, Dosa, egg masala , are delicious. Staff are very friendly and they are cheerful.

Breakfast buffet could be better, very simple basic repeated dishes, if western dishes are added with little more choices would be really great.
Very nice hotel, convenient location, rooms are very neat and perfect size, comfortable beds, very helpful staff. Value for money compared to similar hotels around.

The hotel facade isn't impressive, but the interior and service were satisfactory.

The bathrooms weren’t very well kept. The sink was clogged mostly and housekeeping never bothered to clean it. Many amenities were ill-functioning though they amended them when I brought it to their notice
The access was good. It was close to Pondy bazaar which is a good shopping area. Staff were very cordial and helpful. Breakfast was decent

It was a comfortable stay with clean rooms. We reached late but the staff were very polite and helpful. My last minute request for upper floor was also accommodated. I would surely recommend it.

There is no noise proofing and the sound from outside creates an echo within the room.
The reception desk and hotel staff was really good.

There were smoking rooms on the same floor. If you cannot handle smoke ask for a room that is not adjacent to smoking rooms.
It was centrally located and close to restaurants and other amenities.

After a long stay in India and staying in simple places, we arrived between flights to the hotel. Excellent location, lively area, close to the market, restaurants nearby. Spacious room, helpful and pleasant staff.

Advance payment - even though my credit card was used to block the amount, the staff insisted that advance payment is their policy. Having travelled across the world to many places, felt that trust on customers was not there.
