The vibe of the place is amazing. Very tranquil and relaxing. It is right by the beach and it is kind of a private beach as well. Definitely must visit. Nijad, the caretaker, is very helpful.

It is slightly far from the varkala cliff but makes up for it by being close to the Odayam Beach.

This is really close to the beach, about 20 m from Odayam Beach. We had a lot of fun. The service is really good. Nijat and Shambhu were great hosts and ensured that we got the best bang for our buck.

Magnolia Guesthouse is a little piece of beautiful heaven 🌸💫 We absolutely loved this place - the beautiful garden with flowers and butterflies, pool area, our terrace with a seaview, the delicious food and especially the staff. They are so sweet and took such good care of us - they felt like family. Thank you so much for everything - we'll come back for sure!

The location is perfect for families. Odayam beach is a short walk and is quieter and cleaner than Varkala beach. Some days we had the entire beach to ourselves. We won’t ever forget surfing and swimming as the sun sets. Beautiful.

A mosquito net in the bathroom window would allow to open It without getting animals and insects inside. Bathroom window open means no more mould and bad smell. Simple and cheap solution. A couple of beach umbrellas by the pool, to make it much more confortable

This an amazing place ,with very friendly and professional stuff. What I liked more here: 1.The beautiful place with garden and flowers are very clean and well-tended near the sea side,the see view from balcony was very picturesque and the room was clean and comfortable to stay. 2. The stuff was so professional and polite and always are try to help with all my ask and needs. Thank you for that great welcoming atmosphere ! 3. That place is near the sea,3 min to walk and you are on the beautiful beach. I recommend that place,who can chill near the ocean with comfortable stay ) I was glad to stay at that place!

They could offer room cleaning as standard. Ask for a kettle etc if you want one and clean towels when you want them.

This is an excellent guest house in a perfect quiet location. Great pool and near to the quiet north beach. The food was good and you can have it in your room. We had a large balcony room with an ocean view which was lovely. a great choice for this area.

The checkout in the end took a longer time than expected even though we had options for debit card and google pay.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were quite accommodating to our requests.They gave us an upgrade for our booking and we got an entire villa with a private pool which was great. The location is fantastic and is ideal if you want to see less commercialized beaches of varkala. Food was also freshly prepared and good .Overall highly recommended.

Our Check in went very well with Nijjad to guide us through everything, all the staff Hem and Devan were very very helpful with all the check in and throughout the four days of stay. good food, good cafe, nice view from everywhere. 2min walking distance from the Odayam Beach.

Nothing to dislike

It’s close to beach, has greenery and various places to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable for two people and they have bigger rooms too which are perfect for families. Also have interconnecting rooms too. It’s in a quiet lane but has cafe close by for food.

Cottages at Magnolia are set in lovely gardens just minutes from the beach, easy to walk along the beach to Varkala Cliff or 150rps in a Tuk Tuk. Staff are fantastic- cannot do enough to help, they arranged a tour for us to the Elephant Park at a cheaper price than the tour office on the cliff, also arranged Taxi to our next destination. Food is great, beds comfortable rooms super clean and the pool area lovely and again very clean! 100% recommend this place great value (when we checked out Nijad didn’t charge for the drinks and food we had in the restaurant saying it was his gift!) so generous. Thank you 🙏

Few more sunbeds but that’s being picky

Good location, we were very lucky to be upgraded, breakfast choice was very good. Staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble always keen to ensure we were having the best experience during our stay. Organised trips tuk tuk and taxi and it was only a 10 minute walk to the cliff .
