Peacocks were beautiful, but they did not let us sleep peacefully either with their constant squawking. Monkey menace near the pool and outside our rooms also was a bit scary. Our neighbours had left room service food / plates outside, and the monkeys made a mess of them. Pest control like lizards, frogs can be inside the rooms.

Facilities and rooms were great. Open shower was the highlight. Tea kadai was a very good / unique experience. The souvenir shop was decently priced unlike other hotels / resorts where it would be very expensive. I indulged in shopping as well

Pottery and yoga classes can be arranged free of cost for all the guests. I have stayed in swaswara and tilar siro, both cgh properties, they both had more activities free. All the activities are charged here.

Mantra Koodam is one of the best properties I have stayed till date. The location, ambience, rooms, service, food everything was top notch . The rooms were very clean and had a lot of unique touches right from the courtyard type front to the waterfall type shower , the cute jar type soap holders , powder soap with loofah are a few. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quite spacious . Food in the restaurant was v nice. Highlight was the peacocks walking around the property. Highly recommend this property .

There is a mild bad smell coming out from the drain pipes in the bathroom. This needs to be addressed

We had an exceptional 3 nights stay at Mantra K. Thank you from the bottom of heart to all the staff. The place is so beautiful, cottages among the trees, we can easily see peacocks and squirels, birds. Very quite place. Swimming pool is beautiful too. Massages were perfect and food delicious. Everything was fantastic. Temples are less than 25 min drive from the hotel.

Whilst this property is in a beautiful and serene location, you really do need a car here. There is nothing is within walking distance. We were travelling without our own driver on this trip, just hiring cars/taxis/rickshaws along the way. We asked the hotel if they could arrange a transfer from the train station to the property and for this they quoted Rs. 1,700. Whilst this price was probably set by the cab company, the hotel should have realised that this was extortionately expensive and not offered it to us. We arranged our own transport instead for Rs. 550! One of the features of the cottage that encouraged us to book it, was the outside bathroom. We were very disappointed therefore upon check in to be informed that there is only cold water available in the shower in the outside section of the bathroom, and were told that it was just there "for an experience only". We have stayed in many properties with outside bathrooms previously and all have had hot water available, so we do not understand the issue here. We would have spent more time enjoying sitting out on the cottage's veranda if the chairs had been more comfortable and were surprised to learn that there was no drinks menu in the restaurant and the staff, I'm sorry to say, didn't really seem to know exactly what was available.

We have stayed in 4 CGH Earth hotels now and as seems to be the standard, the property grounds are well cared for and most of the staff well trained. We had a few minor maintenance issues in our room but they were sorted very quickly indeed after reporting them to reception. The cottage we stayed in was a good size and had all the amenities that we needed.

No pre-warning that a large engagement party would take over the venue for one afternoon and evening. This impacted guests as the people from outside had many vehicles, did photoshoots, roamed the pool and other areas. I like that they had a beautiful party, but at that time the gentle pace for guests was not maintained, and following morning meal was cut-back as clean-up took place.

Beautiful environment, peacocks, very gentle and kind Ayurvedic massage staff, great cooks using local produce, and best coffee in the Kadai.

I had to have a cold shower one day when I decided to have a very late bath. I think that it’s essential that hot water is available 24/7 at a property of this standard and price range.

We love the traditional architecture of the resort and the lovely greenery all around. A lot of thought has gone into making the experience very homely but with all the necessary modern conveniences. I particularly love the open shower in the bathroom and the herbal powders that we so good, I actually bought some to take back with me.

Nice and peaceful , mostly good was good but there were two chefs one was extremely good the other wasn’t good when we pointed out that the food wasn’t good though they excluded the dish from being billed the chef didn’t seem to take it well. Overall a great place to stay
