Quite difficult to find when you try to reach there the first time. It is quite a distance to walk, and complex maze to go thru if you go there from a cab from the airport. (Cars are not allowed in the old city area) Room was quite small, way smaller than the one I have booked and saw in the pictures form Booking, but yeah, big enough to sleep :)

A nice place, just as described in many positive comments about the place. Location is pretty good, even though a bit noisy in the evening, but what you can expect, it is Varanasi :)

We only stayed 2 nights but I appreciated how Sonu, the owner, cares about keeping the guesthouse clean and well decorated. I regret not going on a boat tour with him :( Our room was clean and confy, we had a good time. I recommend Aadha-Aadha Café, just one minute walking from the guest house, for a very nice breakfast!

Not particularly welcoming. Doesn’t matter, but noticeable. Sheets were a bit grotty, but I used my sleeping bag liner. Only one towel for two people. Extra charge of IDR$700 for late check out for night train. Was worth it for the air con!

It is quite overpriced, although other options in Varanasi seemed too dirty to consider. Just a warning; we couldn't find any supermarkets in Varanasi. I am glad I brought some food from Europe!

Sonu was very helpful and quick to respond making our arrival in India smoother: forewarning us about the multitudes of scammers in the city. He has a nice tall house with a roof terrace. We went at the start of July, expecting mosquitos, but there were none. The AC worked well, which was very important as it was extremely hot and humid.

I didn’t realize there was a curfew, so I was locked out one night and I had to ring the bell, which I felt terrible waking up the house. The manager was pretty upset cause he was concerned. Just be sure and know this is a home and you do need to be in before 11pm.. or just let them know. :)

Marigold is a sweet guest house right off the main ghat. Wonderful location. Cute spot in old town.. my room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The ac was fantastic for the hot weather. Was a good place to rest in the middle of the day.. and quiet at night.

Really nice owner, Sonu is very helpfull and really understands how to give you a welcome feeling. Gives good tips. Very nice and cozy room. Very clean, good bathroom, airco and fan. Great place to stay, close to the main gath and big temple, 5 minutes from the Ganges and night market.

Great location and easy to find. Our room was comfortable and clean, nicely decorated. We had a balcony which was nice but make sure not to leave any food out there (monkeys will try to get it!). Overall the place felt very safe and cosy.

Very good option, good price, nice people, well mantained and clean. It is a touristic area so quite a few food options. Very nice surroundings with great friendly people.

this hotel is right next to the main ghat on the ganga, but hidden away so it does'nt get the noise. the room was small and not to airy , I booked the cheapest one, so I'm sure the other ones were better, the owner is nice and friendly ,hardly seen him , but present when you need him, I had some financial problems , and he came to the rescue which he didnt have to . that was really nice. would recommend it to others.
