I could see the dim outline of Kanchenjunga, not the clear view because it was hazy. Personally it was still good. Anyway April was not the right time to see the clear view. Michilero(backpacker in Spanish) Ostello(hostel in Italian) was a great place to stay in Pelling. Everything - home made food, family atmosphere  - was perfect. And Wake in Himalayas, the hostel next to Mochilero Ostello, was also a nice place run by warm hearted family.

The view from the hostel is astonishing which counterpart is the remote location easily accessible by shared jeep and little walk. The team is super friendly and will make everything for you to spend a great time in Pelling!

Tremendous hostel vibes. The View/place is stunningly beautiful, off the grid, in a small village. Still close to pelling tho. Travellers and the staff live together familystyle and everybody's just very nice and chill. You get lots of bonfires and celebrating but you can also kick back and chill real good. Whatever fits your vibe. Food and drinks also real good and tasty for a reasonable price. Usually i don't do hostels anymore, i prefer homestays, but this is just in the same way. Recommended!

One need to trek a bit to get there.

The view of kanchanjunga in the morning is worth mentioning. And the view of stars in the clear night sky is beautiful. The staffs were very friendly.

This is a wonderful place in nature we were just looking for. Outside of Pelling you will find peace and silence there. The food is all organic and fresh from the own garden/ farm and sooo delicious! We would have loved to stay longer at this hostel/ farmstay. Also the owners, the family and also the other hostel guests were so friendly and nice!

Little difficult to get to with heavy bags/backpack as the trail to the homestay takes around 15 mins downhill through a first trail and is quite stoney in places so you have to watch your footing. Give them a call and they might be able to pick you up or they can direct you to the road route.

Great homestay that has dorms as well as private rooms. Family vibe with a nice kitchen/dining/ chill out room downstairs and a balcony above with sofa and chairs with great views of the valley. They had a bonfire pretty much every night which was great with people singing and playing guitar. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and even took us out for a tour of local attractions in their jeep. The property is off the main road and has its own land where you can sit out and enjoy the view. In the morning if it is not cloudy you can see kachipari peaks as the sun's rays first his them during sunrise.. would definately stay here again. Can walk to skywalk and both monasterys but it's quite a walk and uphill most the way. Taxis are available further up pelling.

Everything is perfect here in this hostel. Best location, good wifi, Organic home_made food, Bonfire , view of Kanchanjunga. Host Nimesh and other people are too good. Had one of the best night here. Though one can find difficulties in finding this hostel as it's an alone beautiful property tucked in mountains, but one can call the host.

It's owned and operated by a family who are true locals. Husband, wife, daughter, son. All super lovely, mild mannered, hospitable and always smiling. Nimesh helps manage the place (also a true local). The BEST ambience of nature, beautiful place and views of the Himalayas, fantastic fresh homemade food. Just perfectly out of the main road for peace and serenity. Happy Memories

The walk up to the hostel is great for trekkers, not for everyone. But then that's the experience 🙂

The staff was very hospitable. Took care of me, like their own family. Will say a family away from home. The owner made the necessary arrangements to help in making my stay and journey further smooth. Food was homecooked and very yummy.
