Yes it's a bit far from central Darjeeling but it's not a big deal to walk fifteen minutes on an almost completely flat road, bordered by nice flower pots, with views over the queen of the hills : ) Otherwise everything perfect!

Calm, clean and comfy bed and rooms. Felt very welcome by smiling and helpful staff. Hot water from 7to9 (am & pm), warm blankets, good wi-fi, good electric plugs, good luminosity. Possibility of heater and room service. Otherwise a few modest Himalayan food restaurants in the street and even more down on the nearby Hill Cart Road. Just next to Tenzing Norgay residence and Ava art gallery. And finally windows and outside balconies with view over Kanchenjunga! Thank you so much! : )

The staff were too good, friendly, helpful and kind. They provided us with all the things that we needs eg- warm drinking water, extra blankets and heater(charges applied). Breakfast was amazing. They were one call away. The stay was worth it with reasonable price. Thank you Rai da and staff for your hospitality.

Staff were amazing, so warm and welcoming. Fantastic view of Kangchenjunga from both the window and balcony. The bed was so comfortable, with a good quality duvet and extra thick blanket and when the temperature dropped, they provided an electric blanket for free. They bought tea up to the room every morning, and the food was great and very reasonably priced. It was only a 10 minute walk from the station, and a 20 minute walk from the Mall.

Would like to have access to the kitchen, as is the case with most “home stays”, but Edwin was nice enough to at least let me keep some things in the refrigerator, I just had to ask permission for him to get my things any time I needed them out because kitchen was off limits. Outside of that, everything was pretty lovely here and we’d stay again. Is more of a hotel vibe than home stay

Mount olive is a really lovely family run business and home. The staff are so kind, helpful and warm. We felt so welcomed and decided to stay more nights. The beds are comfy and cosy and clean with hot water in the shower. Please make sure you get breakfast and dinner - the owner Edwin is a very talented chef. Honestly incredible food, incredibly reasonably priced

Neeraj Da, the property owner, is very Humble and a gentleman. He was very supportive and guided me even before I reached Darjeiling. He helped me arrange the transportation services, which is crucial if you travel to Darjeiing. There was some misinterpretation regarding the room but Nerraj Da solved it and provided us the room we preferred. Mount Olive is a very good Homestay. It is comfortable and safe. If you are lucky with the weather you can see a great view of mount kanchanjangua and Darjeiling City from the balcony. They serve food also. You may find the food tastes different but as there are a lot of options in the city this should not be a problem. The distance of the homestay is a 25-minute walk from the Mall road. Keep in mind Darjeiling is a hilly area and you need to climb some inclines to reach the Mall Road area. For young people, this is a good location, but for the elders, this might be a problem.

Didn't see Kanchenjunga from Terrace. Only because it was too hazey. (That's not hotels fault though)

The room was good. A great view from windows. Everything worked. Bed was comfortable and warm. Staff were helpful. They had restaurant which was run efficiently. And reasonable price . The hotel was different than pictures, it was much better than pics. It was very close to old hotel. Nice view from terrace as well. Overall a nice reasonably priced hotel. Would stay again.

Had a fabulous stay. The room was exactly as the pictures. Super clean and comfortable. Spacious mountain view. Great value for money. The location enabled me to explore daily life e.g. momos at the corner shop; while still within walking distance of the mall. I always received a generous welcome. What shone through was the genorosity and sincerity of the management. Ever ready to offer local advise and offer assistance. I will certainly be back and highly recommend Mount Olive. Staying here was a highlight of a memorable visit to Darjeeling.
