Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWish there was somewhere to lounge down by the pool area.
If you enjoy wildlife then this is the place for you. The naturalists are very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area and indeed India in general and it’s a great place to come and experience Goan nature at its best!

United KingdomWe couldn’t fault anything ! Our only regret was not to have stayed here longer rather than spending more time at the beach. Next time we would definitely go for the 1/2 day birdwatching trips !
The exceptional, peaceful setting in a deciduous forest and tropical plantation. The early morning nature trails/ birdwatching walks, from the property - all the staff/ guides are so passionate and knowledgeable ! The setting of the forest huts in nature and the bed was very comfortable. The meals were also delicious - we tried a range of Goan foods, both for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The guided hiking trip to Tambdi Surla waterfalls, starting with a visit to the 1,000 yrs old Mahadeva Temple. All the staff were very friendly and also passionate about nature, which added a unique element to our stay.

While traveling through India we also visited national parks but nothing is comparable to the unique experience here. It’s really a hidden treasure and the place to be if you’re looking for amazing nature and animal life. In addition, the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly, the food is amazing and there are various free and paid tours. We did the bird watching and night safari (paid), evening walk and garden tour (free) and can recommend everything. It was an adventure and we learned a lot. Thank you.

United KingdomHard to get to via public transport we had to get a taxi there. Would be fine if you had your own transport. But the Resort were also super helpful and helped with arranging transport.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The Resort offers many complimentary actives that are great and definitely worth doing. The food was great a nice Indian style mixed buffet each morning and the rooms were lovely big and clean. One night we sat around a camp fire after dinner which was lovely. We also did a fantastic guided walk up to a less known Waterfall. Really would recommend this place everything was fantastic!

RussiaI really liked it! Very good attitude towards guests. They helped us with safaris and walks to the waterfall. They also helped organize an individual tour and taxi to the coast. Very positive, love nature and ecology. Clean, I'm delicious. There are many rare animals near the territory. Many thanks for the help.

United KingdomThey do have wifi in the rooms but its not great, drops on and off. Not a deal breaker as we were there for the nature. The facilities are basic and I don't think I could have stayed more than the one night. e.g. one very small towel provided, and insects were an issue for me in the room. However , we were in the middle of the reserve so to be expected. Take plenty of mosquito spray and be prepared for cockroaches and spiders.
The staff went over and above to ensure that our stay would be everything that we wanted. The guide (s) were exceptional, theirs knowledge and understanding of the plants and birds was informative and interesting. They answered all our questions and took time over meals to talk to us more. The food was very good and plentiful, and breakfast catered for everyone. The pool was a lovely way to end the afternoon and the natural spring pool with the fish was a treat for the feet.

United KingdomThe bathroom facilities could have been a bit cleaner, but on the whole, the cottage was lovely and all of the amenities we could need! We felt some of the tours were a bit overpriced.
Beautiful remote location, with lovely scenery! The staff were very friendly, and helpful with booking transport from airport and to nearby towns for excursions. Good selection of food, all homemade! Staff were very attentive and went the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay! There were a large variety of activities on offer including jeep safaris, plantation tour & nature trails - staff were very knowledgeable in facilitating these!

South AfricaOnly thing which is problematic, but out of the control of Nature's Rest, is the price of taxi to/from the airport (r2,500 = ZAR~600), which was the only expensive part of the trip. But that is the price of being remote!
Well worth the trip all the way from South Africa. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, eager to assist, excellent English. Room was simple, but extremely comfortable, with mod cons including quality aircon and fan, lots of plug points, clean, hot water, mosquito net. I'm a foodie -- food was exceptional, local Goan delights -- buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Barbecue on one evening was also good (I'm going to try pineapple on the braai at home). I would return just for the food (handsdown beats the food at the 5* Radisson Blu Cavelossim Beach hotel where I stayed the following nights). Activities were also fun; superb morning birding (including 3 species of hornbill), rain forest waterfall hike was fun, great sightings on the night "safari" (including Goan buffalo, palm civet, porcupines, flying squirrel, hares, nightjars), and night herping also fun and fascinating to see the little things (crabs, scorpions, bioluminescent fungi) -- would recommend, unless squeamish about snakes/spiders! Suggestions: My package just included room, breakfasts, morning birding walks, and afternoon plantation tour. I would recommend package with all activities and meals included. All excellent value for money. Highly highly recommend for birders, naturalists, foodies, or just people who want a quiet escape.

United StatesNot a complaint but if you are afraid of bugs or lizards, the location may not be for you. Lots of geckos and spiders since you are in the middle of the forest.
Great place to stay to see the waterfall and national park nearby. The hotel grounds are beautiful and they are raising orchards on the property. We had our own little cabin in the woods. The meals included were good. Our favorite feature is that they could arrange for us the trip to the waterfall, a night safari, and a morning bird observation walk.

South AfricaThe only part about Nature's Nest that we didn't like was leaving. Although I can't even really say that as all the staff gave us a wonderful farewell, they even gave us a fruit and honey hamper for our trip.
Wow, where to begin? The staff were the best we have encountered in India, really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The jungle feel you get here is really special, along with the awesome natural pool. The sunset walk, the night drive and the temple tour all exceeded our expectations. Everything about Nature's Nest gets a 10 out of 10. Thank you, we'll be back.

PolandNo hot water at the shower. How did it even occur to someone to make hot water only in the tap, but not in the shower itself? We washed from a bucket. Was cold during the night due to portuguese roof and we had only thin fleece blankets at the room. No WiFi at the rooms. No electric kettle or something like that.
Nice place surrounded by the nature. Cosy and friendly stuff. Breakfast was great.

United KingdomThere's nothing we didn't like about this property as a couple. We had a wonderful experience and very pleasant stay. Just some very general feedback (our thoughts) for ways to enhance the space if you find this appropriate: - A hammock on the veranda for leisurely reading and relaxing would be great - Introduction of a false ceiling in cottages for better insulation (more energy efficient) and protection from dropping dust or small insects - A tea, coffee maker in the room would be great - just a kettle and some eco satchets - Hot water connected to the shower rather than just in the tap would be great too
The staff are exceptional. Very polite, welcoming and helpful. The location is ideal for all the regional activities such as visiting the National Park (for bird watching or animal spotting), Tambdi Surla Temple and Waterfall as well as a good base if you're happy to venture further to Dudhsagar Falls. The plantation is stunning with various fruit, veg, spice and insect/bird life. The cottages are rustic and simplistic but very charming and clean. They have all the basic amenities one might need for their break. The food is reasonably priced despite there being almost nothing else in the form of restaurants near by - the food is fresh and tasty (expect a more basic homely taste and feel). Service as always was wonderful. We enjoyed the complimentary guided walks and felt this was a nice touch, thank you. The breakfast spread was also suprisingly good with some Goan/Indian (poha, upma, bhaji - alternating) dishes and some more simplistic European items (bread, jam, omelette). There were also some great practices noted like a real attentiveness to nature (putting out fresh water, limiting light pollution), providing filtered water (that can be refilled) and minimizing the use of plastic (straws were paper etc). Keep this up. Overall, we can't really fault our time at Nature's Nest. It was exactly what we needed and we enjoyed a leisurely couple of days here. We'll be back and we'll also be recommending you to our friends and family.
